From luxury brands such as NARS and Bobbi Brown, to innovative products like the lip-plumping Lip Voltage and Doll White’s teeth whitening strips, 2015 saw me trying some new beauty brands and products that I was really excited about. This year, there are a number of brands I’d love to try for the first time, as well as some I tried in 2015 that I need to get some more of.
Firstly, 2015 was the first time I tried any NYX products, and I now recommend their dupe-alicious lipliners to everyone. Now that it’s available in Selfridges, I fully intend to stock up on more bargain bits from NYX, such as the Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (rumoured to be a fave of Kim Kardashian’s, say whuuut). Like a lot of people, last year also saw me become obsessed with Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Dipbrow Pomade, and it’s now the only product I’ll use on my brows. This year I need to try more of the much-hyped ABH, with the ABH Liquid Lipsticks being top of my list.
While my collection of MAC lipsticks is still growing steadily, I’m still yet to try out many other products from the brand. The MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle gets a lot of love from other bloggers and seems to be the most stunning highlighter. Another much-hyped product that I would like to put to the test this year is the iconic Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish, which I’ve been tempted by for ages.
Something that caught my eye much more recently is YSL’s Black Opium. Do I have any idea what this smells like? No. Do I want it anyway for that bla-bling-bla-bling bottle. Er, yes. Too Faced is another brand whose packaging is always on fleek (if I can say that about packaging… which I can ’cause I did, SAY SUMMIN’) and that, along with the promise of full coverage, is why the Too Faced Born This Way is the next foundation I’m planning to try. The only product I’ve tried from Too Faced before is the Better Than Sex mascara, which I adored, so I really do have high hopes for the foundation.
Finally, a brand that I’ve never tried before but would finally like to in 2016 is Laura Mercier. A lot of the products are highly-commended by bloggers, but I think the one I would really like to get my hands on is the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder. I’ve been looking for a matte highlighting powder forever and if this could do the job then I would happily fork over the £24.00 (after payday, obvs).
These are my main must-haves for 2016, but what are yours? Let me know in the comments!
I saw NYX contour & highlight palette but didn’t pick it up because I don’t think I have any use for it but now I’m second guessing my decision. I do recommend NYX Angel Veil primer which is said to be almost the exact dupe of the pricey Hourglass primer, it’s the best drugstore primer ever.

Ooh thanks for the recommendation, sounds like there are lots of NYX goodies I need to try! 🙂 xx
I love NYX products; they’re all ready great formulations. I have eyeshadows and lipsticks from them but now that you brought up this contour palette I really want to give that a go too! Laura Mercier is on my list of high-end brands to try in 2016 as well 🙂

I love MAC Soft and Gentle and the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish so I’d definitely recommend trying those! I completely agree about ABH Dipbrow, it’s my fave brow product! xx

Ahh you’ve convinced me! 🙂 xx
I am a liz Earle cleanse and polish faithful! I used to be one of those naughty girls that tended to go to bed with a full face of make (eek!!) but since starting to use this early last year I’ve never missed a night! I think it’s the creamy formula and how different it is to normal cleansing routines, feels like a treat for me (yeah, I’m super sad I know). I’ve tried drugstore dupes from boots and superdrug, but nothing has compared to the real thing for me!
My must try product for 2016 is DOSE OF COLOURS matte liquid lipstick, the packaging and the reviews are amazing!

I think we’re all guilty of that once in a while (especially after a few drinks haha!) but it’s so good when you find something that makes you actually want to cleanse! xx
YSL’s Black Opium is one of my favourite!
