YIKES I don’t know what’s more shocking – the speed at which we’re bombing through this year, or the fact that this is the third month on the trot I’ve managed to remember to do a monthly faves post. You know the drill, here are the new things I’ve been loving the most this month:
MAC lipstick in Snob
When I went on holiday recently, I flew on my own and it was only 5am. Both of these facts meant that I couldn’t do what I usually like to do at the airport and get drunk in Wetherspoons (sob), and so instead I had to browse all of the duty free. I ended up at the MAC stand obv, and eventually settled on the gorgeous bright pink that is Snob. This is perfect for nights out, but is also wearable enough for a brighter daytime look too.
Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze Gradual Tan*
Cocoa Brown’s 1 Hour Tan has been one of my favourite fake tans since I first tried it last year (review here), so when this grad tan from the brand popped through my letterbox I knew it was going to be love. And I was NOT wrong. Gentle Bronze is really easy to use thanks to its guide colour, meaning that you can see where you’re applying it (unlike a lot of other gradual tans out there). It also has much stronger results than other ones I’ve tried, where you have to apply several times to get even the slightest hint of colour. If I apply this before bed, then in the morning I already have a light tan. This can then be built up by applying it over the next few days. It also feel gorgeous on the skin, and has that famous Cocoa Brown scent that I’m a big fan of.
Dermalogica UltraCalming Serum Concentrate*
The skin around my eyes has become really irritated again recently (thanks life), and so when I was offered the chance to pick out a Dermalogica product from Pure Beauty, I was instantly drawn to the UltraCalming range. This serum has been designed to “treat, correct and defend skin against inflammation and redness” and it really does just that. The morning after applying this, I wake up to find my skin looks perfectly even, and the redness around my eyes has gone completely. The only downside to this amazing product for me is the price – an RRP of £53.15 makes me wince – but it really does get the job done. Pure Beauty also have some great discounts on Dermalogica at the moment (including 8% off this) so it’s defintely worth checking those out if you’re thinking of investing in some premium skincare.
Mark Hill Hairspray
I picked this up from the clearance section in Boots recently (side note: that section is AMAZING) and absolutely love it. I’ve become a fan of pushing all of my hair off my face and having a bit of a toned-down slick-back look on a night out, and this helps keep my hair in place perfectly without looking too crispy or weighed down. The best thing is that despite it’s extreme holding power, it then brushes out amazingly and your hair feels completely normal and not at all Severus Snape-like.
Bourjois Twist Up the Volume Mascara
I waffled on enough about this mascara in my Twist Up the Volume review, but my love for it is so strong that it deserves another mention.
Have you tried any of my July favourites? What have you been loving this month?
Snob is such a favourite of mine!

I still need to try Cocoa Brown Gradual Tan! It sounds so lovely and I love that it doesn’t take too to long to develop.

It’s the perfect gradual tan, I definitely recommend 🙂 xx
Snob is a gorgeous colour and I love dermalogica products (when I can afford them) they work wonders! If I was travelling alone and it was that early I would be on the drink…hahaha but I guess they don’t serve that early?! xxx
Oh they certainly did serve alcohol (the huge groups of stags made that much clear) but I felt I would be judged haha! xx
All of these look great. I want to try that twist up the volume mascara.

It’s honestly AMAZING, has replaced my fave high end mascaras 🙂 xx
This year is going so fast! I almost forgot to do my monthly favorites this month and it’s only my second month of it haha… That lipstick shade looks divine, I really want a new pink shade similar to this.
