My Sunday mornings basically go one of two ways. Either I wake up at a leisurely time and spend an indulgent few hours treating my body like the temple it is, while lounging in bed and catching up on my favourite blogs – OR I spend it in a hungover bed of pain, wishing for death. As I don’t think the latter would make for a very cheery blog post, today I’m going to focus on those nicer Sunday mornings. So, if I’m in a fit state on a Sunday then these are the things I’ll be reaching for…
Hair Mask
My hair goes through a fair amount of abuse from me (sorry, hair) and so on the weekend I like to give my over-bleached, over-heated follicles a little summin’ summin’. I was recently sent some Osmo hair products from their Silverising range, which are perfect for my silvery wizard hair. This Osmo Violet Mask* is definitely a new favourite. It’s thick and creamy, with an amazing smell that reminds me a bit of Parma Violets. This only needs to be left on for between 3-5 minutes and so can be used in the shower, but I prefer to leave it in for a good 15-20 so it can work its magic. While this isn’t presented as a toner, I do think that it also refreshes my colour a bit in between toning. You can buy it from Feel Unique here – I’ll definitely be stocking up.
Pore Strips
I don’t know what it is about pore strips, but they are SO satisfying. I tend to only really buy quite cheap brands – these ones were from the beauty section of Primark – but I feel like they all basically do the same job.
Face Mask
To give the rest of my skin a deep cleanse, I’m also a big fan of face masks. This Merumaya Mud Marvels Mask* contains activated charcoal, which is a bit of a wonder ingredient in skincare as it supposedly acts as a magnet to toxins and dirt, pulling them all out of your skin. The other ingredients, which include ground volcanic ash (casual) and purifying kaolin, claim to “deeply cleanse and detoxify skin”. I’ve only used this once so far, but I have to agree that my skin felt AMAZING afterwards. Ar £19.50 for 50ml, you might consider this a bit pricey, but a little goes a long way and it’s perfect for a weekly treat (and need I remind you of the volcanic ash?!)
Pedi
Okay, not the glamorous item but if you haven’t tried one of these then you and your trotters are missing out! Yes, the Micro Pedi Nano* is essentially a device that shaves the dead skin off your feet – but it is oh so satisfying. This conveniently-sized smaller version is perfect for taking away with you, and comes in 3 bright colours. It costs around £30 RRP, but is currently only £20 here in Argos so make sure you snap one up now if you want smooth heels in time for the Christmas party season.
These are my Sunday pamper must-haves, but what are yours? Let me know in the comments!
Sunday pamper time revolves around a long bath with a face mask ( or two, depending on my skin’s needs), a hair mask and a change of nail polish! xx
