Jumper: Missguided (old) | Faux leather skirt: ASOS | Boots: Moda in Pelle* | Bag: Michael Kors
There are many things that confuse me in life. How do dogs know that other dogs are dogs? Why did Carrie ever like Big in Sex and the City? When you cleanse, tone and moisturise, what does the toner actually do? But none confuse me more than this: what on EARTH are you meant to wear in March? It looks warm but it still feels cold, but you can’t wear too many layers or else you’ll start to get sweaty, but then if you took the layers off then the sweat itself would turn cold and you’d be freezing… it’s a nightmare, truly.
Thankfully, I’ve picked up a few new transitional pieces recently that are making it a bit less of a challenge for me. Firstly, these gorgeous grey boots from Moda In Pelle were sent to me as part of their ‘Wear Now, Wear Later’ campaign. With the small block heel and the stud detailing, these can definitely be worn across the seasons – and I think with the prairie trend looming over us, these will actually be perfect in the spring/summer. Keep your eyes peeled for my second post styling these up for a warmer look, and take a look at all of the other amazing Moda In Pelle ankle boots here.
Secondly, I also picked up this beaut faux leather midi skirt from ASOS’ petite range (which I really recommend to my fellow Polly Pockets, FYI). I’m going to get plenty of wear out of this in the coming weeks with knitwear and boots as I’ve styled it here, but can also see myself wearing it just as much with slogan tees and Converse once the weather perks up.
There are two things that REALLY need to up their spring/summer game, and those are my right leg and my left leg. Sorry for blinding anyone with their whiteness in these photos; please rest assured I’ve now bought a new bottle of St Moriz to get me nicely orange for leg-bearing weather. Ah, transitional.
What do you all think of transitional dressing, and do you have any tips? Let me know in the comments!
This outfit is so stunning! I adore both the top and the skirt! The transition weather still hasn’t gotten here yet – we have snow, snow, snow! Though I definitely I agree with you that spring can be such a hard time to know what to wear, soon comes those days where you want a warm winter jacket in the morning and t-shirt and shorts in the afternoon!
