Summer means festival season here in the UK, but if you’re not big on camping then day festivals like MTV Crashes are the perfect way to see some amazing live music. This month, MTV Crashes Plymouth returns for its third year, and the good people at CrossCountry Trains are kindly giving me some event tickets to giveaway to y’all! Up for grabs are:
- a pair of VIP tickets to MTV Crashes Plymouth
- two pairs of standard tickets for two runners-up
All of the tickets are for day 1 of the festival, which is Thursday 28th July. The music doesn’t kick off until gone 6pm so there’s no need to worry about getting time off work, and with regular services to Plymouth from all over the country via CrossCountry Trains, getting there and back will be a doddle.
The line-up for day 1 is pretty incredible too. Rudimental and Jess Glynne are headlining, with Anne-Marie and Raleigh Ritchie also confirmed (yes, you’ll be seeing Grey Worm in the flesh. Jealous). It’s promising to be a really fab evening out and I’m so excited to give three of my readers tickets to the event.
The pair of VIP tickets for MTV Crashes Plymouth include:
- Entry Ticket
- Welcome Drink
- Exclusive VIP area
- VIP Lanyard
- Commemorative Programme
- Cash Bar
- 2 Course Fork Buffet
- After event access to VIP area with late night snacks (until 12)
To enter the competition, please use the Rafflecopter below. The competition will close on Wednesday 20th July and I’ll announce the winner on Twitter (@Vanity__Claire). I will need the winners’ details by no later than 12pm on Friday 22nd July to pass on to CrossCountry, otherwise I may have to choose different winners. If you’re under the age of 16 then you can still enter the competition and go to the event, but you’ll have to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. You can find some more info on MTV Crashes on the FAQ page here.
A big thank you to CrossCountry Trains for helping me to run this competition. I’m sure you’re all very familiar with the company already, but for those of you who aren’t, the CrossCountry network is the most extensive passenger rail franchise in Britain. It stretches from up in Aberdeen to Penzance (which I used to think was abroad but which is, in fact, not) and from Stansted to Cardiff, calling at over 100 stations along the way. CrossCountry, which I never knew is based in Birmingham (my geography/general knowledge is genuinely so weak), connects seven of Britain’s 10 largest cities. It also delivers 295 services every day, which is around 32 million journeys up and down the country every year.
If you’re aged between 16 and 25 and have a railcard, you can get a third of the price of your CrossCounty tickets, or if you have an NUS Extra card then you can get 10% off. Saying that though, a lot of the ticket prices on CrossCountry are really reasonable as they are – they currently have offers such as Birmingham to Manchester for under £10 and Cheltenham to Cardiff for £6.50. Now that the weather finally seems to be perking up, it’s the perfect time for a staycation, so make sure you check out the CrossCountry route map to see where you could be going next.
Good luck!
sadly I work on Thursdays and cant get day off but this looks SO fun!
