Feather sliders: Miss Selfridge | Swimsuit: Simply Beach | Dreamer tee: Primark | Polka dot shorts: Boohoo | Petite bardot midi: River Island | Pink sunglasses: Primark
I know what you’re thinking: “Claire, it’s only April and the UK weather is absolutely mugging us off. Why are you talking about holiday clothes already?” And I get you dear readers, I really do. But there are two reasons why I’ve made this month’s must-have post 100% holiday-related: 1. we have to visualise summer vibes so summer hurries up and gets here; and 2. I’ve got my first holiday of the year in 8 weeks exactly and therefore it’s time for me to get my shop on. So yes I’m being completely selfish. Oops.
So what are my holiday must-haves? First up, I’m completely not over the fluffy slider trend of last year. My trusty black pair will definitely be making another appearance, but this pastel pair are also perfect for the airport and beyond. Next, some new swimwear is always needed before going away. I decided to go bright with this tummy control swimsuit from Simply Beach (which has the added bonus of sucking everything in, meaning I can skip a spinning class or three in the run-up to my holiday AND go all in on beach bar cocktails).
A simple crop and short combo is a must for a relaxed dinner, and my current love for polka dots is making this Boohoo pair an absolute holiday essential. For more dressy evenings on holiday, you of course need something a bit more faaancy. You’re absolutely spoiled for choice on River Island at the moment for dresses, with this bardot printed number being one of my faves.
And finally, what would a holiday wishlist be without a pair of new sunglasses? This pink pair are currently showing on the Primark new arrivals section as being in store now, and cost just £4.
What do you think of this month’s post? Let me know your favourite must-have in the comments!
Just wish it was warm enough to wear some of this, love that dress
