Huge Summer Beauty Haul | July 2016
I don’t know if it’s the increase of fake tan or the fruity scents that make me think of poolside cocktails – mmmm pina colada – but I love the little beauty switch-up we tend to make in the summer. I’ve picked up quite a few new products lately that have helped give my beauty drawer a summer revamp, so though I’d talk y’all through them. While they’re not all summery products per se (I mean, live your life, but I’d recommend using toothpaste all year round personally FYI), they’ve injected some much needed variety into my routine.
Vichy DermaBlend Fluid Corrective Foundation | Review
Maybe this says quite a lot about my beige personality, but foundation is actually my favourite makeup product. Yes I know that a world of wonderful colour awaits me with eyeshadow and lipsticks and I can use contour products to give myself an entirely new face – and don’t get me wrong, I LOVE all of them too – but a good base is honestly the thing that makes me feel the most confident, so a new foundation is always of interest. For the past couple of months I’ve been putting Vichy’s DermaBlend Fluid Corrective Foundation* to the test, and I’m happy to finally report back what I think. View Full Post
Benefit Shy Beam Matte Highlighter | Review
Sometimes you hear about a new product and you just know that it’s meant to be, and that your soul and its little product soul are meant to be joined together as one. That’s how I felt when I first heard about Benefit’s Dandelion Shy Beam, a matte liquid highlighter that promises to put a ‘natural looking spotlight’ on your skin. Although I actually haven’t tried many Benefit products (nope, I’m not sure why either), this appealed to me straight away and so I picked up Shy Beam while I was on holiday last month. And I’m very much in love with it.

At Home Microdermabrasion with PMD Personal Microderm
Taking better care of your skin is one of the things I’ve realised is essential once you’re in your mid-20s (along with actually having to exercise and suddenly taking an interest in curtains, apparently). While we know that things like facials and microdermabrasion are beneficial from a young age, treatments in a salon can get pricey. So when I saw a couple of bloggers raving about an at-home microdermabrasion device I was VERY intrigued. I’ve since got my hands on my very own PMD Personal Microderm* (RRP £135), and after trialing it for a few months it’s safe to say I’m a bit in love with it. View Full Post

Sleek Cream Contour Kit Medium | Review
If you’ve read my bog for a while then you’ll know I’m into my contouring. Like, very into my contouring. Like, ‘burn all photos of me before 2013 because I can’t stand looking at my natural moon face’ into my contouring. So of course when I saw that Sleek were releasing their Cream Contour Kit, I nearly piddled with excitement. Like most of other females on the planet, I’d lusted over the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit for a long time, but could never quite bring myself to fork out the £40 to buy it. At £10.99, the Sleek dupe was much more up my (skint) street, so I couldn’t resist snapping it up. View Full Post
