Our New Crib | Claire’s Bedroom

Happy Monday chaps! Hope you all had a spiffingly good weekend – mine consisted of nothing more than the X Factor (each year I get sucked in, why oh why) and pizza, so that’s a pretty good one in my books.

As you may know, Lauren and I recently moved house and we took a solemn vow to do a couple of interiors posts as we know people like them. Lauren fulfilled her promise early on and you can see her boudoir by clicking on that there link. It took me a bit longer to get my act together (i.e. to pick all the socks up off my floor) but here now is a little glimpse into my bedroom. Saucy.

room 3Bed: Argos (old) / Duvet Covers and Throw: Primark

In the words of Emma Stone in the best film ever, Easy A: “this is where the magic happens, and by magic I mean absolutely nothing”. You’ll see that my obsession with white things extends beyond my car, phone, straighteners, laptop etc and fully exists in my room. Of course, there’s also plenty of leopard print, and that giant pink rabbit you can see goes by the name of Graham. People quite often look at Graham a bit oddly and then turn to me and say “Erm, you don’t strike me as a cuddly animal person”, and I’m not a cuddly animal person; I’m a Graham person. We are good friends and spooning partners.

room 2This is the view from my bed. As you can see, it’s not the hugest room in the world but then I have packed it as full of furniture as is physically possible. Nothing makes me happier in life than hella loads of storage. Apologies for the leopard print slippers that snuck in.

room 9‘Love’ Mirrors: B&M Bargains (old) / Drawers: Ikea

room 8Letter Holder: TK Maxx

room 10Clock: Matalan (old)

Despite, or maybe because of the fact that I’m the messiest person in the world, I actually have a strong dislike for clutter or things in general. I like to think these bits have an air of Parisian shabby chic about them, though maybe it’s just more shabby shit. The clock, for example, hasn’t told the right time in about a year, but still I love it. I picked the letter holder up recently from TK Maxx (aka my new favourite place in all the world and universe beyond) for around £7 and decided to try to use it as makeup storage instead. It’s now home to the majority of my Barry M nail polish collection, brushes etc.

room 4Brusali Wardrobe: Ikea

room 11Storage Boxes: TK Max

To see what’s inside my wardrobe, you can read my full wardrobe organisation post. The boxes were picked up during the same TK Maxx trip and were individually priced; I think it was around £25 in the end for all three.

room 12Photo Holder: eBay

Please divert your eyes away from all of the old photos that show me with a kind of bob. These desperately need to be updated, but printing photos falls into that ‘can I really be arsed?’ category (other things in the category: dry cleaning, eBaying, washing my hair).

room 7

room 6TV: Sony / Billy Bookcase: Ikea / Storage Boxes: Various

My bookcase is home to lots of other old photos, a random collection of books I’ve picked up at one time of another and a bit of jewellery and makeup. The three boxes in the middle contain rings, necklaces and hair grips; while the three boxes on the right contain face products, eye products and lip products. My everyday makeup bag can be seen poking out in a dishevelled manner on the bottom shelf. The bottom shelf is basically the stuff of nightmares for me – so cluttered, so bizarre. Most of this will be hidden away in a side table once I get one, but for now I just avoid looking down there.

And thus concludes my mini room tour! What do you all think?

Outfit of the Day: H&M Galaxy Print Leggings & Oversized Tee

Hello earthlings,

After singing ‘I’m a space man, look at my space trousers’ for the past couple of days, I thought I’d share with y’all my new favourite space leggings. Looking like a planet (but hopefully not the size of one) is my new fave hobby, probably because there’s nothing more satisfying than saying things like ‘Oh no, I have just Saturn my lunch, I don’t know how I am going to get these sandwiches stains off of my space leggings’.

I bought these bad boys when I had a half day off work a few weeks ago. My day of fun was brilliant and if you were in Birmingham that day, you would have seen me running around like a shopping-crazed fool. I spent ages looking for these leggings and finally found them in H&M (anybody else finding everything in there brilliant lately? Nevermind Isabel Marant!). If I recall they were around £6, which is absolutely a-mah-zing and cheap.

1451536_10152573143532565_1065261861_n

I teamed my galaxy print leggings with an oversized black tshirt/dress type thing that has some excellent beaded embellishment on the shoulders, my trusty F&F boots and my beloved Topshop fur coat. Jewellery-wise, I kept it pretty simple with a  silver chain that I’m pretty sure I robbed from my mum and a silver leaf ring from Topshop. I’m wearing Rimmel’s Lasting Finish in Your Majesty (sounds about right, AM I RIGHT?! Probs not).

1459121_10152573142817565_1832825287_n

1425708_10152573239447565_84053896_n

1460066_10152573142562565_1022220484_n-2

I’m not sure why I look so simple facially, but unfortunately it was one of those days where my brain most likely fell out. It is happening a lot these days and I seem to have developed a stutter. I think I must be blocking out some kind of trauma. Potentially when Claire decided to sing me her ‘Bye Bye Bye’ *Nsync remix.

ANYWHOO. What do you all think of these galaxy print leggings? For £6 it’s genuinely rude not to. And also, think of all the space related talk you can have with people (although try and avoid things about the milky way, it just sounds creepy).

Outfit of the Day: Mirror Edition #2

Merry Saturday, one and all! So, anyone who gives a tiny poo (i.e. probably nobody) may have noticed that I’ve been somewhat absent from the OOTD hype as of late. This is partly due to some technical problems at Stylingo HQ in the form of our camera finally biting the dust, and what can only be described as personality problems on my part as I’m too lazy to take photos at work.

But, just in case anybody is really curious about what I’ve been wearing recently, here are a few mirror snaps that I’ve uploaded to our Instagram account:
12 Nov 1
Black Dress – H&M / Kimono – Missguided / Rose Gold Cross – Primark / Brogues – New Look / Bag – Marc B

Remember when I said that I have a tendency to overload on black during the autumn and winter months? Well here is a prime example of me doing so. The lace kimono from Missguided is still one of my favourite items after I first wore it to the Bullring Ten event, and teamed with a simple black dress (which you can’t see at all, but is fitted and has a high mesh neckline) it’s the perfect way to pretty up an outfit. The Marc B bag that I got for my birthday this year is also still a firm fave of mine and rarely leaves the nook of my arm.

12 Nov 2Leotard – Primark / Jeggings – Topshop

I’ve had this leotard for probably around two years now but have just brought it out of hibernation again after realising I still love it quite a lot. Worn with my Topshop jeggings it created quite a fun casual outfit – though I still wore this for work, God help me if I ever work in a strict office.

12 Nov 4Dress – Topshop / Blazer – eBay / Silver Cross – Primark

This is definitely one of my more work-appropriate outfits, even with the paint-splattered effect of the dress. This dress is a really loose fitting swing dress that is a bit swampy on its own, so the addition of the cropped waterfall blazer (which I also have in mint, so keen I am for it) makes it a bit more fitted. I accessorised with my trusty silver cross, and seemingly some trampy hair bobbles on my wrist, which I always accidentally leave on (but I think they may become super fashionable soon, so it’s fine).

12 Nov 3Crop Jumper – Topshop (old) / Skater Dress – Topshop / Necklace – eBay / Nails – Barry M ‘Duchess’

I actually tried to get proper OOTD pictures in this outfit the other day, but the winds were somewhat… shall we say whirlwind-esque? .. so I looked a state in all of them. Layering jumpers over dresses and playsuits is something I definitely plan to do more of this winter, and this cropped Topshop jumper that I’ve had for a couple of years is perfect for it. I’m still loving the Barry M nail polish from the Royal Glitter collection (I reviewed it in full here if you fancy a read) and tend to keep my jewellery quite minimal where I’m wearing it.

What do you think of these outfits? Do you have a favourite?

MUA Pro-Brow Eyebrow Kit | Review

‘Ello chaps!

If you read our MUA haul post (can we call it a haul? We probably spent less than £20 between us…), you might have noticed that I picked up their Pro-Brow Eyebrow Kit.

Eyebrows are a big part of my life. I probably spend more time drawing my eyebrows on in the morning than doing anything else and nothing distresses me more than a wonky brow (apart from you know, war and running out of hair bobbles). I have paley-paley eyebrows, which means I look like a lunatic without eyebrow makeup- particularly after dying my hair brown. I’m a big fan of eyebow kits as opposed to eyebrow pencils, mostly because I think you have a lot more freedom in terms of shape. Pencils also don’t give the same finish as powders and wax, so I say yay to eyebrow kits and nay to nasty pencils.

My all-time favourite kit in the history of the world ever is the Sleek Brow Kit (which I reviewed here), but I thought that I’d give this MUA one a whirl – mostly because it is just £3.50. You heard it here first guys, this is cheaper than a cheap thing on wheels.

1379671_10152573012122565_1568284889_n

MUA have called it (nice and succinctly), the Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit, All-in-One Shape, Shade and Highlight. For all you Benefit fans, this is somewhat similar to the Brow Zings eyebrow kit or the Brows-a-Gogo eyebrow kit. I say this mostly because MUA have included a mini pair of tweezers, a brush, two main brow shades, a highlighter (we’ll get to this…) and an eyebrow gel.

1441392_10152573012547565_732471522_n

In a bit more detail, the Pro-Brow Kit has two brow shades: a deep chocolate brown and a paler more tan coloured brown. These are both powders and quite obviously, designed to fill in your eyebrows and I have no complaints really. They’re fairly pigmented and buildable – I’ve found that I do a couple of layers of the deep brown for my scousebrows. I don’t have much use for the lighter colour, but it may come in handy if I ever go lighter with my hair. The powder is quite loose as you can probably tell from the swatches, so beware of fallout chums!

The highligher I have beef with. It’s in no way light enough to be a highlighter in the way I know highlighters. For my browbone, I tend to use a very light shimmery colour and this bizarre tan colour is far too dark. I tried to give it a go but I just looked mad.

1394204_10152573011302565_248980509_n

The gel is fine, it took a bit of getting used to after using a lot of waxes in the past, but it keeps my eyebrow hairs in place and is most excellent for neatening things up a bit.

The brush is another part of the kit I didn’t get on with at all. As it is such a cheap eyebrow kit, it’s not really a big surprise that it isn’t great quality although I was a bit disappointed. The brush has really thick, firm plastic bristles that are impossible to work with – I wasn’t able to draw on my eyebrow shape accurately and it just made the powder go all over the place. Thankfully, I had my Sleek brush to hand and that worked perfectly. If you do plan on purchasing this bad boy, make sure you have a back up brush!

Overall, I really like the kit. I’m aware that I sound like a terribly Negative Nancy about it, but on the whole it is a great eyebrow kit. Some things leave a bit to be desired (what even is the highlighter?) but it’s doing to job of giving me eyebrows when there used to be none. HUZZAH AND THANKS TO MERRY ENGLAND MUA.

Has anyone else used this little kit? What do you reckon?

How to Curl Your Hair Without Heat: Bendy Rollers

rollers 1_nFirst off: I know, I know – proper Art Attack skills there, right? How I only got a C in GCSE Art is simply a mystery that will never be solved.

And now secondly: I’m sure I speak for most girls with long hair when I say this: I LOVE having curly hair – but I do not love the damage that heat from curling tongs can cause. I have hair extensions and so have to be particularly careful to not over-expose them to heat if I want them to stay in good condition and avoid the ‘skanky rat’ look for as long as possible – so this means that regularly curling is a bit of a no-no. To create waves in my hair I’ll often plait it before going to bed, but my new favourite method for achieving a more dramatic curl, but still without the heat, is to use these babies:

rollers 2These bendy rollers were first recommended to me by the girl who fits my weave, and I’m amazed at how good they really are. Packs of these can be picked up in most pound shops, and are also sold in Primark for the mere price of one English pound. You usually get around 8-10 in a pack, but if you have particularly thick hair or want to create smaller curls – or want to use them to spell out words – then you might want to pick up two packs.

Using these rollers is ridiculously simple – and this from a girl who can barely do a neat ponytail (the cackhand strikes again, huzzah!) You section your hair and wrap the ends of each piece around the rollers. You can roll them as high as you want the curl to start. You then secure them by bending them.

rollers 4For maximum effect, I leave my bendy rollers in overnight. I personally find them really comfortable to sleep in as I usually have them secured below chin level so there’s nothing actually digging into my head – if you have them higher then they might feel less comfortable, but it all depends on how easy you find it to sleep with things in your hair I suppose.

When I unravel the curls in the morning, they’re extremely tight and I look a bit like Honey Boo Boo. However after brushing them through a bit, I’m left with something resembling this:

CurlsDepending on what look you’re going for, you can make the curls as groomed or as natural looking as you like. Separating all of your hair evenly will help you to produce matching ringlets, while putting the rollers in a bit more ad hoc (which I do, but mainly because I’m lazy) will leave you with a messier, somewhat more natural look. I’ve found that the curls stay in brilliantly all day; in fact, much better than they tend to when I use a curling wand.

As well as looking pretty good (if I do say so myself, trumpet blowing) and being ridiculously cheap, these curls also leave me safe in the knowledge that I’ve not damaged my hair ONE TEENY BIT. This means they get a thumbs up from me.

Have any of you used bendy rollers? How do you get curls without using heat?

Outfit of the Day: Primark Clashing Prints

BONJOURNO.

In my eternal bid for being a bit more interesting when it comes to my very own (slightly crap) personal style, I decided to go a bit wild for work yesterday. I’m very much the type of girl who wears a boring array of plain things on a day-to-day basis. Occasionally I might go a bit mad and don a garment that is a bit out there (i.e. when I went out for Claire’s birthday dressed as the Sistine Chapel, which you can see right here if you wish), but for the most part I’m lurking around in black like a pervert in mourning.

To shake things up a bit, I decided to go for some clashing prints to throw myself into the deep end of not looking like a snore. I bought these trousers quite a while back and they are SUPER comfy and super useful. The jazzy monochrome shirt was also bought a while back now and it’s another one that is comfy but can be worn for work/evening/dancing with leprechauns.

Chunky Knit: Primark, Monochrome Shirt: Primark, Printed Trouses: Primark, Heeled Boots: c/o F&F, Gold Chain: Primark

Once again, it appears I have revealed that I am a troll that doesn’t shop anywhere but Primark. I have to say that only the other day I was wearing an outfit that had no Primark items in it whatsoever. It happens very occasionally, but it does happen DON’T WORRY. But anyway, it’s a cheap and cheerful outfit and I actually felt like I’d made an effort for once.

Until today. I’m wearing a grey midi dress and black tights. Lets all lay our heads on our desks and have a little nap.

What do you think of my Primark clashing prints? YAY OR NAY?

If any of you beautiful ladies have any blog posts about your clashing prints, send them my way! My mission for an interesting wardrobe continues…

November Make-Up Haul: MUA

MUA 6Hello one and all! So the other day I decided that I really needed to replace my eyebrow brush that had gone walkabouts, and then the next thing you know all of this had jumped into my online basket. Weird how that happens isn’t it? In my defence though, two of the items were Lauren’s. And even further in my defence – it’s MUA, the cheapest brand possibly ever.

It was my first time ordering from the MUA website, and I was happy with the layout of the site and the delivery time (around 3 days after ordering). Here’s a little rundown of what we picked up:

MUA 1E2 Eyeshadow Contour Brush /  E7 Eyebrow Brush / L1 Lip Brush

I’ve heard some quite good things about MUA brushes so was intrigued to give them a try – and at the ridiculously cheap prices, it was too easy to add a couple more in on top of the brow brush that I wanted. The E7 and L1 were both just £1.50, while the E2 contour brush was £1.95. I’ve used both of the eye brushes this morning and on first impressions, they seem pretty good! Not the softest brushes in the world, but they seem firm and sturdy enough to last. The lip brush, though I haven’t tried it yet, is retractable, so will be SUPER useful for my handbag.

MUA 2Matte Perfect Loose Translucent Powder / Matte Perfect Shine Control Foundation

I eventually begrudgingly had to admit that my previous MUA powder, which I praised highly in my £1 MUA post, actually wasn’t doing the job properly. I’ve always said that I don’t care about powder and they all do the same job, but I did begin to notice that the MUA pressed powder barely lasted at all on my skin and I was having to powder my nose so much more throughout the day. Either my nose had suddenly got extra oily, or the powder was simply a bit wubbish – and considering it cost a quid, I was forced to lean in the direction of MUA blame. So I decided to crank my budget up to the ludicrously high £2.30 and try out the loose powder from the new Matte Perfect range. I’ve only used this for the first time this morning, but will report back on how controlling this promised ‘shine control’ really is.

Lauren also decided to purchase the foundation from the range out of the morbid curiosity of it being only £2. Yes: £2. They only have 2 shades available at the moment: Fair, and the somewhat weirdly named Almond. Lauren opted for Fair, and I eagerly await her opinions on this cheap little product.

MUA 3Pro-Brow Eyebrow Kit

As we all know, Lauren is a girl who likes an eyebrow. Or two, usually two. After finishing her beloved Sleek brow kit, she’s been using, in her own words, ‘a weird array of pencils and foolish things’ and so decided to give this eyebrow kit a whirl. For £3.50, who can blame her? It contains three shades of powder and a fixing gel, plus a handy little pair of tweezers and a mirror in the compact. She’ll be reviewing this soon so wait til then to cast your eyes on the product in all its glory.

MUA 4Out There Plumping Lip Gloss in ‘Candy Pink’

I know it’s very 2007 of me, but I still find that a good pink lip gloss is my ultimate go-to everyday lip product. I decided to try this plumping lip gloss from MUA in the shade ‘Candy Pink’ for just £2.

MUA 5I’m a big fan of the colour, and the pigmentation is quite nice too. In terms of lasting time, don’t expect much – I find that I re-apply this quite frequently throughout the day, though that’s usually the case with cheap glosses. The ‘plumping’ aspect of the gloss can be felt when you apply it, as for a few minutes you’re left with a tingly feeling on your lips. Does it visibly plump them though? Of course it doesn’t. I have yet to find a plumping lip product that delivers on that promise. Overall though, as an everyday lip gloss this gets the job done fine and I’m sure I’ll find myself reaching for it most days.

What do you think of this mini MUA makeup haul? Have you tried any of these products?

Style and Sweat: The Most Fashionable Gym Clothes

We all know that staying motivated at the gym is one of the biggest obstacles to getting and keeping fit – well that, and photographs of the ridiculously fit Lucy Meck, which personally just send me reaching for the cake in a fit of depression

This is a completely girly thing to say, but one thing that makes me actually want to go to the gym is having nice gym clothes. And yes, by nice I mean somewhat ridiculous and garish.

I’ve been scouring the web for the most unique, fashionable gymwear around and here are my favourite picks…

Trainers

Gym 1Adidas / Nike / Nike

I used to have a friend who would wear ballet pumps to the gym. Ballet pumps. This would frustrate me beyond belief – as would the fact that she would proceed to take the slowest stroll ever on the treadmill while playing on her phone. Needless to say, I didn’t stay friends with such a ridiculous person.

Proper trainers are an absolute must at the gym to get the most from your cardio workout, and there are endless fun styles and colours to choose from. Trusty sports brand favourites Nike and Adidas are the ones to go for this in my opinion; and those peach ones actually make me want to weep little tears of happiness.

Leggings & Shorts

Gym 2Sweaty Betty / Sweaty Betty / Nike / Adidas

I find jogging bottoms too hot to wear at the gym, so prefer leggings or (if I’m feeling brave and have bothered to shave my legs) shorts. I’ve recently discovered the website Sweaty Betty, which specialises in women’s activewear and have some really fun prints and patterns. It’s definitely out of my price range – those stardust leggings, for example, will set you back £65 – but oh, so pretty.

Vests & Sports Bras

Gym 3H&M / Nike via Sports Direct / Adidas

I’ve got to confess, I wouldn’t actually wear just a sports bra to the gym. I know plenty of girls do, and to those girls I say ‘why must you parade your perfect stomachs in front of me while I’m sweating away like a hog?’ If I had one of those perfect stomachs though, then I admit I’d be tempted.

Brightly coloured sports bras still look great when worn under normal vests though, and Nike and Adidas have loads of pinks, purples and blues for you to choose from. My current fave for fun gym tops though has to be H&M. Some of their stuff borders on the seriously tacky… but I just kind of love it. This bronze metallic crop is one of the more subtle pieces – in store I’ve seen bright gold, plus heaps of leopard print (which of course I’m planning to buy).

What do you all think of this gymwear wishlist? How do you like to dress at the gym?

Dermalogica | Skinperfect Primer Review

Good day to you dear friends!

I have a confession. I may or may not be addicted to primers. When lurking about in my room getting ready this morning, I had a think about all of the different primers I’ve used in my ridiculously long time being useless at putting makeup on. In the interest of science (probably), I thought I’d share my list with you:

  • MAC Prep + Prime
  • Seventeen Photo Flawless
  • Benefit POREfessional (review here)
  • Bourjois Bronzing Primer (review here)
  • Bourjois Happy Light Primer
  • Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer (read Claire’s review here)
  • Rimmel Fix and Protect
  • Nivea Express Hydration (review here)

I feel like I’m forgetting a couple, but these are the ones that I remember being either impressed with or not so much. The first primer I ever used was by MAC, and whilst I was impressed with it, there are some amazing “drugstore” alternatives around. Enough rambling however, let’s get down to this Dermalogica review!

First and foremost let’s just say it is incredible.

Claire and I were sent a few products from the genuinely marvellous people at Beauty900 and this little sample was thankfully a part of our goodies. It came with the Daytime Radiance set, however I feel that it deserves a review all on its own. It is that special.

IMG_2835

What:
This fabulous product is the Skinperfect Primer. It’s a tinted primer that is also SPF 30, meaning those nasty UV rays get a well deserved punch in the face. It’s part of the AGE Smart range, which makes me feel about 1000 years old – but then again, wrinkles are definitely not something to take lightly. A gal’s got to prepare.

The product promises to smooth fine lines, brighten and prime and prep your skin for makeup application for a flawless finish. As any good primer should, methinks. What interested me most was the ‘brightening’ promise. I’ve noticed that I look quite dull and sallow of late, which is probably something to do with too much wine and not enough sleep. I’ve never had that naturally ‘glowy’ complexion either, so I basically looked to this product as the holy grail that would turn me from the Elephant Man to Mila Kunis.

How:
Something to do with silicones, pearl powder, natural earth minerals and possibly Harry Potter’s wand.

Where:
Head over to Beauty900 to pick this excellent primer up, they actually have some fabulous tips about different skin problems and how you can combat them too – so definitely worth a visit chaps!

My verdict:
Buy this now before your face realises the neglect you are giving it and calls Social Services.

Let me paint you a beautiful picture. I’ve used the Skinperfect Primer the last few days at work. Usually my face gets shiny and disco ball-like by about lunchtime and I have nip to the powder room and er, powder my face. I’ve literally not had to do that once when wearing the Dermalogica primer, which is pretty unheard of for my oily skin. It’s also great for making my makeup last and I’ve had no issues on that front. In terms of prepping my skin for makeup application, I’ve not noticed that it’s not too different to other good primers – it does the job well.

HOWEVER, their promise of radiance is hugely and definitely fulfilled. My face has never looked so excellent without makeup on. The slight tint smooths any discolouration and somehow, it just makes me look bright and glowy. I was almost tempted to go out without foundation but then realised that was lunatic talk.

All in all, top marks Dermalogica. You are excellent.

It does smell a bit like tree though.

Has anyone else used this primer? What do you think?

NOWSEEN.com | My Favourite Pieces

Hello there chaps,

There was a time in my life when jewellery was a bit of an afterthought. I distinctly remember owning a butterfly clip when I was about 11 that had wings that flapped as I walked. Fast-forwarding about 10 years, my jewellery choices can only be described as somewhat hood rat. Giant gold chains? Ridiculously large earrings? You can guarantee I was all over them with bells on.

Having reached the grand old age of 22 as well as leaving uni and somehow acquiring a real person’s life, it was high time I rethought my jewellery collection. A top life tip? People take you more seriously when you don’t wear an unhealthy amount of leopard print and gold. It’s a mad world we live in chums, I don’t like it any more than you do.

As you may have seen, we recently did a post about the launch of the new jewellery brand NOWSEEN (read it here, losers). Claire and I were discussing that there definitely aren’t enough brands just dedicated to jewellery and we’re mega excited about this one. The brand how now been launched (we didn’t check daily in eager anticipation…) and it’s full of beautiful jazzy jewels.

We’ve been though and picked some of our favourite pieces of jewellery to show you exactly how excellent the range is. Please don’t blame us if you end up spending some of Her Maj’s coinage – ITS NOT OUR FAULT.

NOWSEEN1

NOWSEEN2

NOWSEEN3I have to say, my personal NOWSEEN favourites are the rings. I’m definitely a ring type of girl and these ones are absolutely gorgeous. I have my beady little eye on the panda in particular, because wearing the cutest animal in the world on my hands has always been my life’s wish. NOWSEEN’s necklaces and pendants are lovely too, although it has taken me quite some time to realise that jewellery that isn’t huge and gold can be a viable option. Bracelet-wise, you can’t go far wrong with these delicate pieces, they are so so cute and adorbs. I’m actually seriously thinking about getting the garnet one for my dear Mutti for Christmas – it’s right up her street (she’s a funky woman).

We’re also VERY excited to see that NOWSEEN have now launched a competition to celebrate their entry into our lives. There are a few ways to enter; either retween the giveaway tweet, like their Facebook page, follow them on Twitter or subscribe to their newsletter. And what do you stand to win by doing so? I’ll tell you what you stand to win – 200 ruddy English pounds to spend on their website! For full information take a look at their Facebook page.

What do you all think of NOWSEEN? Will you be checking out what this fabby new brand has to offer?
