Outfit of the Day: ASOS Swing Dress & Chunky Sandals

OOTD 15th July Collage 1Dress: ASOS Petite / Chain: eBay / Shoes: Primark

Hello you super sexy people. Following on from Lauren’s ‘blogger tips’ post yesterday on the mystery that is Do-Follow and No-Follow Links I’m back today with the much more superficial stuff, i.e. here’s me in a pretty dress with legs like Wotsits (it’s better to be orange than pale, am I right or am I RIGHT?) (Tumbleweed…)

I recently placed a pretty hefty order with ASOS after realising that I have zero clothes I actually wanted to wear in public, and this dress is one of the bargains that I managed to pick up from the sale. How much did I pay? Just TEN ENGLISH POUNDS. Sassy.

OOTD 15th July Collage 2These Primark sandals have NOT been off my feet since I bought them weeks ago, which yes may be disgusting, but can you really blame me when they’re so absolutely perfect? I’m almost tempted to buy another pair for when these inevitably fall apart, but I dunno if that’s the behaviour of a straight up lunatic. Also, how cute is this bracelet that my sister picked me up from her holibobs? I think it’s meant to ward off bad luck, which I could definitely do with lately after smashing my hallway mirror to smithereens. I know, what am I like.

Prom Accessories with New Look

New Look Prom 1I don’t know about all of you, but when I look back at my old prom photos, I basically want to be sick all over myself. I had two-toned hair that was curled so tightly I looked like the lovechild of Louis XIV of France and one of the All Saints, and wore a dress the colour of snot. I was not the belle of the ball, I was the bellend.

New Look Prom Collage 1Enough about my tragic life – luckily for today’s teens during prom season, the high street is much more tuned into the prom trend than it was back in my day (approximately 473 years ago), and New Look are one brand who never fail to come up trumps on the accessories front. This year they sent us a little bundle of prom goodies to style up, and I chose these beaut white sandals and transparent clutch. I paired them with this sequin and chiffon prom dress from TFNC, which I actually wore to my graduation ball 2 years ago. God, I’m old.

New Look Prom Collage 2

The sandals are the perfect prom shoe; really elegant with a small enough heel that you can shake your thang all night in a much less elegant way. The bag is perfectly neutral and big enough to stash all of your prom night essentials (which in my case were things such as farthings, smelling salts, thimbles and my quill).

If you have a prom or any faaaaancy occasions coming up soon then make sure you browse the full range of prom accessories New Look have to offer, as you certainly won’t be disappointed. Pip pip!

Outfit of the Day: Primark Tropical Jumpsuit

Primark Tropical Jumpsuit | Topshop La Vie Boheme Crop Top | New Look Platform Sandals | Clairol Nice ‘N Easy Perfect 10 – Dark Brown

Ahoy hoy

If you’re slightly confused about who on earth this black haired lunatic is, it is me. I had a bit of a moment yesterday at work where I decided my ginger hair was rubbish and I was ready to commit, so I swiftly popped down to Mozzas and got some hair dye. This was the result, and I am pretty happy with it! I do like having dark hair, because it makes me feel mysterious and cool. While I might look like a freckled gypsy in reality, at least I feel relevant to the world.

If anyone is vaguely interested, I used Clairol’s Nice ‘n Easy Perfect 10 dye in dark brown. They did not lie when they said it was nice and easy, it literally took no time whatsoever and I was able to dye my hair extensions too in less than an hour. AMAZING isn’t the word.

Anywho, I thought I would share with you what I have on today (ooo-er) because that’s just what us bloggers like to do. I bought this Primark tropical jumpsuit for Wireless last sunday, and I absolutely love it. It’s super comfy with an excellent tropical print and I generally like it a lot. It cost me £13, so its a total bargain too. I’m a big fan of layering under jumpsuits at the moment, so I popped my trusty Topshop crop underneath, and my equally trusty New Look caged platforms which seem to be glued to my feet. Hehe.

Outfit of the Day: Missguided Pastels

OOTD 7th July Collage 1Top: Missguided / Skirt: Missguided / Shoes: Garage / Bag: c/o New Look

HELLO SNUGGLEBUMS. It’s been a while since I’ve done an OOTD, not because I’ve been doing a Godiva and walking round Coventry in the nud, but because I’ve basically hated all of my clothes over the past few weeks. Payday came around and I was therefore forced to place a few online orders, one of which from Missguided included this little top and skirt combo that I wore to a party over the weekend.

I really love both pieces and think they make a really nice summery outfit together. They’ll both also work just as well separately and can be dressed up or down. The skirt may even be sneaked into my work wardrobe if I can manage not to throw tea all over myself (unlikely).

OOTD 7th July Collage 2 My Garage heels made another appearance and I also got chance to use my beaut new transparent clutch from New Look. I’d wanted a transparent bag for a while, but had obvious concerns over walking round with everything on show – I mean, I’m not too bothered about anyone wanting to steal my bashed up iPhone or life savings of £3.50, but I don’t think I can handle the shame of people seeing how dirty my makeup brush is. This bag has a little zipped up section though so you can stash away the stuff you don’t want on show, reeeeesult.

Outfit of the Day: Dorothy Perkins Midi Skirt & Topshop Crop Top

Waddup you marvellous people.

I hope that you are all well and enjoying the fact that we only have one more day until the weekend, and I don’t know about you, but I plan to drink cocktails and probably lurk in bed for 24+ hours.

Yesterday was probably the most exciting day that Claire and I really care about. Birthdays? Get gone. Christmas? WHO THE HELL CARES. But payday…come to me my sweet, sweet love. You are beautiful in every way.

Which is why we made our obligatory trip to the retail park near to our work to stock up on a few bits and bobs that we simply couldn’t afford in the dark days before we were paid. While we said we were just going to pick up some cream for my scabby eczema, we ended up buying a load of other nonsense. It is the way of life.

Amongst the nonsense things that I bought, I also picked up this lovely little midi skirt from Dorothy Perkins. Now, I wouldn’t say that I am a regular shopper in Dotty P’s, but I do have to say that their sale was excellent when we popped in.This paisley print midi skirt was a mere £10, marked down from £20 (I think I probably would have bought it full price even if it hadn’t been in the sale!). You can find it online here, but it seems to be £5 more expensive than when I bought it in the shop. I thoroughly recommend that you have a nosey online though, they have LOADS of lovely midi skirts.

I paired it with my new Topshop ‘La Vie Boheme’ crop top, which I actually listed on my most recent spring/summer wish list. This little bad boy will set you back £10, and I would say that you definitely HAVE to wear a nude or white bra underneath, because it’s super see through.

I popped on my New Look round sunglasses and also wore my New Look white platform sandals on my trotters.

I apologise for the state of my hair, I tried to go for the ‘cool messy look’ (read: woke up late, couldn’t find hair brush) but ended up looking  slightly  like a ginger haired tramp. Whoops.

Outfit of the Day: Company Style Blogger Awards #1

OOTD COMPANYFedora: H&M / Dress: Topshop / Shoes: eBay / Bag: charity shop

Hey there you foxy things! Hope you’re all well and wearing your Friday pants with fervour.

As you may know, Lauren and I were lucky enough to go along to the Company Style Blogger Awards on Wednesday night. We’ll have a full post on the event up over the weekend but for now I thought I’d give y’all a look at what I wore. I fell in lurrrrrve with this Toppers dress as soon as I saw it. Short, body con, garish print? Yep, that’s a Claire dress. To give it a slightly more casual edge I teamed it with my new H&M fedora and JC rip-offs dupes. I also picked up this furry bag in a charity shop recently (I know, who am I now) and I love it – though I did throw almost half a pina colada over it later in the night, so I’m not sure how funky fresh it’s smelling now. C’est la vie.

Outfit of the Day: Primark Culottes

OOTD Culottes Collage 1Fedora: H&M / Crop: Primark / Culottes: Primark / Shoes: Primark

YES, approximately a million and twenty-three years after buying them, I finally got round to wearing the Primark culottes! Admittedly I struggled for a lengthy amount of time trying to work out exactly what to wear with culottes and eventually came up with the vague idea of balancing out the volume on the bottom with something big on top – so say ‘hiyaaaa’ to my jazzy new fedora (which is definitely a better version than that huge sombrero-like one that I accidentally bought a while back).

Overall I’m actually very fond of them now, and like the 70s vibes of this outfit. I feel like I would suit an afro, don’t you? … no?

OOTD Culottes Collage 2I also teamed them with my BEAUTIFUL new Primark shoes to add a bit of height. I’m completely besotted by these, despite the fact that I heard a girl next to me make an audible grunt of disgust when I picked them up. Ugly shoes, eh, you either love them or are a twit hate them.

What do you all think of these culottes? How would you style them?

Outfit of the Day: NEU Apparel Gymwear

NEU Apparel Collage 1Crop top: Primark / Leggings: c/o NEU Apparel / Trainers: Adidas

Alright there lads and ladettes!

So, recently my gym game has been seriously weak and I’ve somehow ended up replacing planks for pizza and crunches for Crunchies… I was therefore SO pleased to be kindly sent a few bits to try from UK women’s gymwear brand NEU Apparel’s new summer range.

I know some people think it’s lame-o but I really think feeling good at the gym helps you to do a better workout  – surely I’m not the only one who has stropped out in a “FORGET THIS, I’M FAT AND GOING HOME TO BE MORE FAT” rage before? Oh what’s that, I am? Oh okay. Anyway, for me having nice gym gear is definitely part of that feeling good mentality, so brands like NEU Apparel that focus on fashion as well as practicality get a huge thumbs up from me.

NEU Apparel Collage 2(Sorry about the butt pic. Have I made everyone uncomfortable?)

I was in love with these neon printed leggings when they arrived, but was a little bit anxious about them being grey. Grey leggings are notoriously unforgiving when it comes to showing off sweat, and usually I steer clear as I don’t particularly want people in my gym to think I wee myself with excitement at the thought of a squat. However I’m so pleased to report that the sweat didn’t show up in these at ALL. Three cheers for merry England!

NEU Apparel Collage 3I was also sent this mesh panel boyfriend t-shirt which is honestly the most comfortable gym top I’ve ever worn. The mesh sides keep you FEELING cool, while the rolled sleeve and neon lettering keep you LOOKING cool. I hope y’all appreciate the cheesiness of that sentence; maybe NEU Apparel will want to buy it off me as their new slogan?

Overall I love the fit and style of these pieces and would definitely recommend the brand if you too like to combine your fitness and fashion. You can have a look at the full collection here while I set about getting my gym game firmly back on track in time for my holiday in July. I’ve recently ordered a few packs of Slim Pasta to try out, so let me know if anyone would like that reviewing once I’ve given it a whirl for a few weeks!

Outfit of the Day: Missguided Dogtooth A-Line Skirt

Missguided Lilac Dogtooth Aline Skirt

Accessories

Bloody hellfires, it’s  outfit central at Stylingo at the moment! Someone needs to tell us that we’re actually horribly poor and can’t afford any of it…

That aside, I recently treated myself to this delightful little outfit from Missguided. I really love the preppy style that’s going around at the moment (HELLO Iggy Azalea in her Fancy video…), so it was rude not to get a few bits and bobs to show off that undying love.

Let’s all take a moment to appreciate this a-line dogtooth skirt. I love it, with a burning love that will never be quenched. It’s, as I said, from Missguided and will set you back a measly £14.99. For you gals who prefer a stiffer (oo-er) a-line skirt, this is not for you. It’s a bit more ‘flowy’ than you’d expect, but it’s really, really flattering.

I paired my one true love, I mean skirt, with another Missguided classic. This is a ribbed, high neck crop top and it will ALSO cost you £14.99. Zut alors and excuse moi.Someone at Missguided is having us on.

As it was a little chilly out, I popped on my Topshop fur coat and also wore my momma’s classy silver necklace for a laugh.

On my lips, I have on Mac Amplified Creme Lipstick in Sensual Sparks – read my review about it here. My shoes are quite old now, but they are from Primark if you’re wondering.

Outfit of the Day: Primark Neon Floral Printed Jumpsuit

Details

Hey there hot mommas,

Claire and I (and the fools that think its a good idea to hang around with us) went out on the bank holiday weekend – we had a jolly laugh, drank white russians and only slightly did some embarrassing dancing (orrrr maybe that was just me).

This is what I wore. It was a bit of a last minute buy – i.e. a mad dash around Primark, barrelling man, woman, child and pram out of my way an hour before I had to start getting ready. But I actually really love this neon floral jumpsuit – the print is absolutely jazzy and the fit brilliantly hides the fact I’d eaten a massive pizza before getting dressed. It also only costs £10…soooo.

I wore my trusted Missguided Bardot body underneath (similar here), because I have arms that resemble the trunk of a 100 year old oak tree. I think it works relatively well, if not only to make me look like I am ready to join a street dance crew (in my dreams).

Now lets get onto the shoes. For those of you who have pride and dignity, look away. I was tempted to lie and say that I bought these from a really cool boutique vintage retro shop that no one will ever find because it is too cool, but the fact is I got them at the market. For £10. And I would do it again in a heartbeat. In fact, I’m tempted to trek back to the Birmingham markets because they had some BANGING holographic platforms for £20. For all you shoe lovers that are in need of some excellent footwear but are thinking ZUT ALORS, I am too poor for this nonsense – wear a balaclava and get your fine asses down to a scabby market. It’s so worth it.

My earrings are from Primark and my nail varnish is one I robbed off Claire – it’s Makeup Revolution in Adore.

I am a tramp.
