Two great British institutions: the summer music festival, and River Island. The two go together like Glasto and mud, like Kanye West and stage rants, like baby wipes and your armpits… you get the picture, River Island OWN festival fashion each and every year.
So it’s no surprise that we jumped at the chance to collaborate with RI on their festival fashion and beauty infographic. We were tasked with giving out tips for how to look your best at a city festival – which was perfect as city festivals are definitely my kind of festival, not really being one for sleeping in a tent (though the not-washing-my-hair part comes very easily). You can also afford to dress a bit more glam at a city festival, because a) your makeup hasn’t been done in a tiny handheld mirror and so you automatically look better and b) there’s less chance of you falling into a mud slide and ruining your suede skirt.
City festivals might be what I’m into, if you’re heading to a country, beach or abroad festival this year then definitely check out the full infographic to see what our fellow bloggers are recommending.
And whatever sort of fezzie you’re heading off to, the River Island festival clothes section will of course have you covered. Round sunglasses, 70s boho shapes and loads and LOADS of fringing – be still my beating hippy heart. Here are a few of my favourite pieces, but this is just the tip of the beautiful iceberg…
Are any of you going to a festival this summer? What are your fashion and beauty tips?
This is awesome!
