As a blogger, I’m grateful for every single PR sample I receive; but sometimes a package will arrive that’s so amazing, I almost want to return it to sender along with a note that reads ‘I AM NOT WORTHY’. This amazing load of goodies from cult brand Make Up For Ever was one such package. Luckily, I resisted my urges to cry and send it all back, and so I can talk to y’all about these amazing products. Yaaaaay.
About a week ago, I was invited to visit the new Make Up For Ever counter at Debenhams in the Bullring. For those of you who don’t know (/been living under a rock), Make Up For Ever has been a huge brand internationally for years, and has only just launched in the UK this May. Originally, it was only available in the Oxford Street London store, but now it’s launched in Birmingham too and I was lucky enough to be treated to a makeover there by the lovely Harriet.
First of all she talked me through the range, which is HUGE by the way. There are ten primers alone, which gives you an impression of just how diverse the collection is. Next, Harriet went on to pick out products to try on me. The thing that really stuck out to me were the base products – both the foundation and concealer gave amazing coverage, but also felt incredibly light on the skin. While the foundation was a lighter coverage than I would usually go for, my skin somehow still looked flawless. The final look was SO pretty and – dare I say it – natural, with gorgeous neutral shades and clever contouring. I was so happy then when some of the products used on me popped through my letterbox, so I can attempt to recreate the look myself at home (yeah, dream on Claire you idiot…)
ANYWAY, enough yapping. Feast your eyes on these beauties, and then click through the links below to take a closer look for yourself!
