Although I love makeup, it’s no secret that I’m not exactly the most adventurous when it comes to the looks I go for. Strong brows, contoured cheekbones, a slick of liquid eyeliner and nude lips are pretty much my essentials. However, even something as simple as this can be difficult to find the right products for. Thankfully, I now have some new favourite products in my collection thanks to Helen E.
I hadn’t actually heard of Helen E cosmetics before I was contacted by them, but I’m so glad that now I know of them because they’re a really fantastic brand. Not only are they local to me, being based in Halesowen in the Midlands, but they’re also very passionate supporters of Cancer Research. The face of the brand, Katrina Leeder, has herself faced cancer six times, and has lost her spleen, a kidney, part of her lung, her gallbladder, half of her stomach and 70% of her liver all to the disease. The CEO of the company, Helen Elowe, also had her own battle with a cancerous tumour in 2013. Now, 25p from every Helen E order goes straight to Cancer Research, which I think is just amazing.
Now, onto the products…
On my face today I’m wearing the Vibrant Colour Lipstick in ‘Frappe’*, which is the THE perfect nude shade (and as you might know by now, I’m difficult to please on that front) and the beautifully soft Blusher in In the Pink*. The quality of both of these is seriously impressive, and they cost a reasonable £10 and £8 to buy respectively. I also received a gorgeous lipliner from the brand, so keep your eyes peeled for that popping up on here soon too. Now that I know how amazing the quality of the products is, I’m tempted to order their Stage Liquid Foundation (£20), which is supposed to be good for photography (i.e. perfect selfies).
If you’re interested, then the other products that I used on my face today were: NARS Sheer Glow foundation, Seventeen Define and Conquer contouring kit, Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Medium Brown, Bourjois Twist Up the Volume mascara, Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner and a spritz of Makeup Forever’s Setting Spray.
Have any of you tried Helen E before? What do you think of this nude makeup look?
