Tie-up top: Jane Norman* | Skirt: Jane Norman* | Bag: Primark | Shoes: ASOS (old)
Yes, you read that right – Jane bloomin’ Norman is back! Well actually, it would seem that it never really went anywhere. For years I’d assumed that this iconic brand of the early 2000s had – along with their even more iconic carrier bags – simply disappeared from the high street. But it appears not; Jane Norman is alive and well, and now an exciting re-brand is about to put it firmly back on everyone’s radar.
I was actually spoilt for choice when I was recently asked to pick an outfit from the Jane Norman website. I was initially drawn to a few dresses that would be perfect for work, but then gave myself a little shake to stop being so boring and instead decided to go for a going-out outfit.
First up, I chose this bang on-trend tie-up top, which is actually reversible so you can have that detailing on the back if you’re not too comfortable with the deep plunge. I think it can be worn quite casually, but I decided to dress it up with this silver metallic croc-effect pencil skirt. I love the texture and look of this, and it fits like an absolute dream so I’ll definitely be stocking up on a few of their other pencil skirts.
I’m really happy to have re-discovered this old favourite, and to have yet another go-to brand. I am a little gutted that my order didn’t arrive in one of the carrier bags though. What am I going to take my PE kit to school in now?!
What do you think of this outfit? And have you checked out the new look Jane Norman yet? Let me know in the comments!
