Motel Rocks New Arrivals for Autumn/Winter.

Hola amigos!

First up, I would like to say a HUGEY happy birthday to everyone’s favourite white haired bafoon. Claire has turned the ripe old age of 23 and we are now discussing which care home to put her in after a weekend of partying, eating carbs and feasting on cake.

We’ve also made the executive decision to join the Motel Rocks Street Team, partly because we love a project but also because we both are big fans of Motel and love any excuse to persuade our pals into spending their hard earned dollar on threads. We are sorry guys, but everyone knows that new clothes makes you feel like a really fancy lady.

In my most recent Motel browsing, I have genuinely broken out in cold sweats over how beautiful their new arrivals for autumn/winter are. I meanĀ seriously guys. I have been well and truly ready to whip off my pantaloons and run around my house in delight. I didn’t do that, thankfully, partly because I think Claire would disown me and also because my neighbours would probably call the police. But apart from pantaloon whipping, I have felt it necessary to share some of my favourites from Motel’s new collection so you too can feel the overwhelming delight that they bring. Disclaimer: if you fall off your chair with excitement, I take no responsibility for any bruises or embarrassment caused.

These are just a few of my current favourites, but CAN YOU SEE HOW PERFECT FOR AUTUMN/WINTER THEY ARE? I love the way they’ve styled everything and there is such an awesome 90s vibe with all the new arrivals. I don’t know about y’all, but whenever I’ve had a night out that I literally can’t figure out what to wear, Motel has saved the day. I can definitely see this happening a lot this winter. I thoroughly recommend check out what they have on offer, team fbloggers. You will not be disappointed.

MUA’s Ā£1 Wonders: Blush & Powder | Review

MUA 1I used to be theĀ most loyal customer of Boots in the entire world. I was an absolute Boots wifey, and the very thought of going to Superdrug made my lip curl in disdain. Why would I go to Superdrug when I can collect millions of points on my Boots card? Why would I go to Superdrug when Boots have such a superb Meal Deal? Ā Why would I go to Superdrug when at Boots I can be served by people wearing those funny tunics that make me feel like I’m some sort of beauty professional?

Well, ladies and gents, I am quite the changed woman these days and I regularly cheat on Boots by going into Superdrug too – sometimes I even go to them both in the same day, which just makes me a proper shopping sket.Ā There is one brand in particular to be blamed for my infidelity: the Superdrug-exclusive MUA.

MUA has only really been on my radar for around a year and at first I dismissed the brand as simply too cheap to be any good. Then Lauren raved about their Ā£1 lipsticks, and I discovered for myself the wonder that is the Undress Me Too palette, and then it was safe to say MUA had creeped its way up my favourite brands list.

I picked up both of these items in the last couple of weeks and both amazingly cost me just Ā£1. There isn’t a huge amount to say about the powder – is there ever? It’s translucent and stops people being able to check their reflection in my nose, which is all I can ask for really. The range of blushers is much more interesting. According to the Superdrug website, there are six shades available in the Ā£1 range (you can see them all here): Bon Bon, Cupcake, Lolly, Marshmallow, Candyfloss and Bubblegum. Completely sickening names aside, the colour range is nice, ranging from pale peach through to bright purpley-pink.

The shade that I picked up was Candyfloss, a rather cool-toned pastel dusky pink:

MUA 2(On a side note, am I the only one quite impressed that they bother with the MUA imprint inside the compact? If I was selling something for only a quid I’d probably just put the powder loose in a little sandwich bag and throw it at customers.)

MUAIt’s a really nice colour which seems pretty perfect for winter, and is also a nice match on my new pasty, corpse-like pale skin.Ā My only real bug bear is the flecks of glitter running through it – how hard is it for brands just to make matte blushers, I ask you? Pigmentation wise, though, it’s really impressive. A little goes a long way, to the extent that when I put a bit on without using a mirror while sitting at my desk at work the other day, it wasn’t until I went into the toilet that I realised I had accidentally made myself look like a clown (thanks for the heads up Lauren, you twit).

Overall I’m really pleased with these cheap and cheerful MUA products. The packaging is simple, but all that’s needed – and perfect considering these are the types of products you’re likely to carry around in your handbag anyway so don’t want to worry about having to keep pretty. I’m particularly impressed with the blusher, and think I’ll definitely be ‘investing’ (giggle, giggle – no really, I’m skint, that pound will be an investment) in another couple of shades for my makeup bag.

What do you all think of MUA? Have you tried either of these products?Ā

The Autumn Tag

OOOOH hello!

We were tagged by the lovely Latasha from Today I Adore, which is an amazing beauty blog which isĀ totally worth checking out. Her hair is incredible, I have the urge toĀ shave it off and glue it to my head. Which is not creepy at all. I am sorry.

Favourite thing about Autumn?

I have come to the conclusion that autumn is my favourite season, I have big love for those sexy cold-but-sunny days and there is nothing better than throwing on a chunky knit. I, like any Brit, enjoy complaining about the weather and autumn means that there is always a bit of small talk with strangers.Ā But my ultimate favourite thing about autumn:Ā drinking copious amounts of tea and staying in pyjamas all day, watching Love Actually.

Favourite drink?Ā

100% tea. Although, I may stretch to a few caramel lattes from Starbucks if I’m feeling particularly wild. I know, let’s not all panic.

Favourite scent?

WELL, unfortunately my current perfume has run out and I’m living on the dregs of my Hugo Boss Femme. I’m also hugely poor so I can’t afford to buy a new perfume, but if I were to invest in a new one…my favourite autumn scent is Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. It is the perfect spicy scent for colder weather!

Best lipstick?

I definitely prefer wearing lipstick during winter because you are allowed to cake on your makeup with the excuse that it keeps your face extra warm. Without a few layers of lippy, who knows what kind of frostbite you might get. Personal faves include Kate Moss for Rimmel in Shade 4 (amazing dark purple colour) and any red shade.

Go to moisturizer?

I have perpetually dry skin, it is REALLY boring. For my body, I get involved in any Nivea product I can get my hands on. For my face, I am currently using Manuka Doctor products (check out my review here, you scoundrels) but when they run out I plan to go back to my standard Olay moisturiser – it’s brilliant and smells lovely.

Go to colours for the eyes?

I’m not very adventurous when it comes to my eyeshadows so regardless of the weather, I will always wear neutral shades. I might do more smokey eyes because you can get away with looking like you’ve been down the mines in winter but that’s about it! What a boring human being I am.

Favourite band/singer to listen to?

I particularly enjoy listening to Eminem ‘Cold Wind Blows’ and any song by Wynter Gordon. Sometimes I might even crack out November Rain by Guns n Roses if I’m feeling retro.

Favourite outfit to wear?

Thick wooly tights, anything with a hint of burgundy and this autumn/winter, I will be cracking out the leather and autumn pastels A LOT.

Autumn treat?

I’m the type of gal who likes to treat herself all year round šŸ˜‰ but I’m thinking of investing in a proper good quality winter coat. Mine are usually from Primark (although my beautiful Topshop one will always have a place in my heart) – while they are amazing, I want something a bit warmer!

Favourite place to be?

Lurking around Christmas markets with a pint of mulled cider in hand, in bed with a rubbish film and most definitely at the pub munching on lots of carbs to help keep my bear cubs warm during hibernation.

WELL. There you go! Is anyone else as excited about autumn/winter as I am? Claire and I have already been discussing Halloween outfits (keep your eyes peeled for these, it’s going to be ridiculous) and I genuinely can’t wait for Bonfire Night and all those jazzy activities.

September Favourites: Beauty, Fashion & Lifestyle

Hey there sexies! Today I’m here to present you with our first ever monthly favourites post. We tend not to get involved with these kind of regular series’, mainly because we go through life in a bit of a daze and barely know what month we’re even in most of the time. However, my birthday is fast approaching which means for once I’m a little more aware of the the date, so thought it was as good a time as any to give it a go. To be honest, I’ll probably still lose track of the very basic principle behind this post and start waffling on about things I actually bought back in July but just bear with me – I am very, very simple.

Beauty

September Favourites 1Despite being on a bit of a spending ban, there are some things a girl simply can’t go without – bread, milk and beauty products, for example. Here are four my favourite beauty discoveries from September:

  1. Osmo Silverising Shampoo & Conditioner ā€“ My main mission during September was the bleaching and whitening of my hair (which you can read more about here and here). Iā€™ve found this silverising shampoo and conditioner to be absolutely amazing in keeping the yellowy tones out of my hair, and after using them my hair instantly has a bit of a lift.
  2. Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer ā€“ I ā€˜ve raved about this primer A LOT in this full review, but over a week on and Iā€™m still in love with it. It creates a lovely velvety base for makeup to go on, and actually sends my pores invisible like superhero pores.
  3. Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer ā€“ All bloggers seem to love this concealer, so I suppose the only surprising thing is that I only bought it for the first time last month. It definitely lives up to the hype, and I reviewed it in full over on Jem’s blog.
  4. 3CE Lip Pigments ā€“ these were undoubtedly my favourite eBay bargains of the month. Costing only Ā£1.80 each, these little OCC Lip Tar dupes have so far provided me with hours of mixing fun. I also reviewed these in full here

Fashion

Sep Faves Jumper

Unfortunately, my wardrobe was the place that felt my spending ban most cruelly. I didn’t really buy many new bits during the month, but my favourites were without a doubt my New Look cut-out ankle boots, worn with a variety of contrasting frilly ankle socks or with bare skin shining blindingly through.

My Topshop jeggings have also remained a staple part of my weekend wardrobe and are what I seem to throw on whenever Iā€™m mooching around the house at the weekend and suddenly realise I actually have to face people (though this is usually just to go to the shop to buy biscuits).Ā Knitwear has also began to sneak back into my life and my Primark fluffy cardigan has been an absolute fave of the month!

Lifestyle

Sep Faves KindleI’ve got back into the Kindle way of life, and two brilliant books I’ve read recently includeĀ TraffickedĀ by Sophie Hayes andĀ Room by Emma Donohue. Trafficked is the horrific true story of a British girl who was forced into sex slavery in Italy after travelling there with a man she thought she could trust; it’s gripping and intense but ultimately very inspiring. Room is the fictional account of a young boy who has been born in captivity to his kidnapped mother. The narrative is written from the perspective of the boy, which grated on me at first but eventually became completely absorbing. I’ve just started to readĀ Goodnight Lady by Martina Cole. It’s the second Martina Cole book I’ve read and I don’t care how low brow it is, I love all that gritty East End gangster shizz. If brothels and people getting sliced up is your cup of tea, then I heartily recommend this for some easy reading.

And thus concludes my first Favourites post! What were you all loving last month?

Outfit of the Day: ASOS Petite Midi Dress

OOTN 29th Sep CollageDress – ASOS Petite(sold out) / Shoes – New Look (old) / Bracelets & Ring: Primark

Bonjour and hola my wee lasses. Just a quick OOTD post for you today to show you what I wore to my sister’s fiance’s 30th on Saturday night. I know it’s a pretty boring outfit, but I was told the party was a ‘suave occasion’ involving champagne so it didn’t seem like the right place to try something creative with mesh and snapbacks (as I usually would, of course).

I know the printed midi has pretty much has its day now as far as evening wear goes, but it was for this reason that I managed to snap up this dress for only Ā£11.50 so I wasn’t complaining. Because of the busy print I kept everything else simple, with a pair of trusy old suede heels from New Look, small silver jewellery and my new flowing locks curled and pinned to one side.

OOTN 29th Sept CloseI also accessorised with a big massive CARB BELLY as the low back of the dress meant I couldn’t wear my fat pants. I suffered some serious baguette regret from my overly large lunch, I tell you.

The Show: Ten | Celebrating the Bullring’s Birthday

Hello ladies and gents!

Claire and I officially had a Day of Fun yesterday, in the form of hitting up the Bullring’s 10th birthday party. I don’t know about you, but most of the tenth birthdays I have attended have involved screaming children, deflated balloons and bits of birthday cake squished into unmentionable places. Not many have involved Mollie King and male models sitting down in front of me on a catwalk. Safe to say, you can guess which I prefer…

Us Stylingo gals have big love for the Bullring. Our days at the University of Birmingham were often spent lurking around Topshop debating whether a dress was a better use for our loans than buying the latest edition of the Canterbury Tales. In fact, when Claire and I first met during first year, we bumped into each other in the Bullring and realised that we were two kindred souls…mostly because we both like shopping alone like the antisocial weirdos we are.

So needless to say, we were mega excited when we were invited to attend The Show: Ten, which was a catwalk show giving everyone a headsup on autumn/winter trends and hosted by the insanely beautiful Mollie. We donned on some jazzy outfits, hopped on the train and here is a little sneak peak of what our day was like.

Kimono and Crop Top: Missguided | Jeggings: Topshop | Cross Necklace: eBay | Watch: Casio | Boots: New Look | Bag: H&M

And here are a few of our favourite outfits from the show. The idea was that they showcased 10 autumn/winter trends, which as you would imagine included lots of tartan, PVC, pastels and animal print. It was most excellent. Oh yeah, and just in case you hadn’t noticed – we were FROWING. Huzzah!

If I am ever this close to Mollie again, it will probably be because I’m violating a restraining order I have become the sixth member of the Saturdays. We then obviously went out for Saturday afternoon cocktails, because what would a Day of Fun be without a few fruit based alcoholic beverages?

Screen shot 2013-09-29 at 05.37.44Screen shot 2013-09-29 at 05.39.52
And finally, like the classy birds we will always be, we bought 99p baguettes and legged it to Primark. You can take the homegirls out of Coventry but…

Happy birthday Bullring, we love you with all of our tiny hearts and will continue to give you money until we die or you decide that Pilot is a shop worth including in your vast array of establishments.

September Haul: Missguided & Bodycare

iyaaaa! Right, now the politeness of the day is over, let’s get on with it.

Today we have a super fun haul post for you all. Yes we are officially still on our spending ban (and are delighted to announce that it’s been worth it thus far as our application for our new house has been accepted! AWOOGA) but in our defence, many of these products were absolute life necessities. I mean, do you really expect us to go through life without false eyelashes? What sort of barbarian are you?

As it was payday on Wednesday we actually ventured away from our desks at lunch time and went into town. Like the big spenders we are, we headed straight to Bodycare to stock up on all of our cheapy cheap beauty essentials. We then came back to our desks and placed some orders online because we’d scratched the shopping itch, but just made it more itchy and needed to scratch it some more. Hate when that happens, don’t you?

Here’s a little run-down of some stuff we purchased:

Lauren

DSCN3005TĀ Zone Pore Strips | L’oral Elvive Triple Resist Hair Mask | Schwartzkopft Supersoft Volumising Hairspray | St Moriz Tan Dark | Aussie Miracle Mask | L’oreal Hot & Smooth Serum | Clean & Clear Deep Action Cleanser | Nivea Harmony Time Shower Gel | Eye Candy Lashes | Rimmel Lasting Finish 200 | Rimmel Stay Matte Powder | Gold chain from eBay

Gut gott in himmel, I accidentally spent Ā£30 in Bodycare. As Drizzy would say however, you only live once and my life required lots of new beauty products. CUFF ME.

I won’t bore you too much, but a couple of these products I wouldĀ thoroughly recommend. First off,Ā Eye Candy eyelashesĀ are a big favourite of mine and they are amazing quality for the price. When I get the chance to go to Bodycare, I always stock up on these badboys. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to Eylure, then these are your man!

DSCN2997

I also have loads of love for this heat protecting serum,Ā L’Oreal Hot & Smooth. I used to use thisĀ all the time when I was younger and first started straightening my hair and sort of forgot about it until I saw it the other day. They’ve changed the packaging to be a bit more jazzy, but it’s definitely the same product inside. 100% recommend it, especially if you are skint like I am but still want to protect your locks. HUZZAH.

2 DSCN3005

I put in an order with Missguided after spending about 300000 hours trying to figure out what to buy. This dungaree dress was the result, which I LOVE. Unfortunately it’s way too big so I’m going to have to return it and exchange, but it’s the perfect A/W addition to my floordrobe – 90s you are back with a vengeance, my son!

September Haul 1

September Haul 2

September Haul 3Kimono | Crop Tee | Bodycon Midi Dress – Missguided

I also bought quite a few bits in Bodycare, but as I started scooping up my various shower gels and body scrubs to photograph it occurred to me how massively boring they all were so I thought ‘EFF THIS!’ and threw them all back into the shower. My Missguided order was thankfully a little more interesting; I snapped up this kimonoĀ (there’s 15% off them this week, so go go go!)Ā and crop tee to wear over the weekend as we’re going to the Bullring’s tenth birthday catwalk show so I fancied something new – don’t worry, I’ll also be wearing something on my bottom half, I’m not trying to be the most scandalous person in Birmingham (Lauren already has that title).

I also finally bought this midi dress that I look at each time I’m on their site. I’ve always been put off buying it as the sizes only some in ‘S/M’ or ‘M/L’ (which is something that annoys me more than you would even believe, how can they narrow down all the shapes and sizes of women in the UK to just two sizes? How? How and why and how?!) but it’s part of the Sweet Deal range and only costs Ā£5.99Ā so I decided it wasn’t the end of the world if it didn’t fit. It’s an okay fit; as I expected it’s too baggy on me to really be called bodycon, but it still sits quite nicely and is a good length so is fine for work – and still amazing for the price!

What have you all been buying lately? And what do you think of this haul?

Outfit of the Day: Burgundy Jeans and Leather Look Tshirt

‘Ello you big weirdos.

In my tiny little mind, autumn/winter has properly arrived and I flat out refuse to believe that the weather still has the capability of being nice and toasty. How wrong I was. Yesterday was actually really nice in Stratford and my work outfit choice wasn’tĀ quiteĀ appropriate. Nevertheless, I ploughed on and went for a look that I’m planning on emulating time and time again when we finally are allowed to let go of spring/summer trends.

Ah burgundy, you rogue. I used to have very bright red hair and it meant that all berry colours were banned from my wardrobe. Since moving to the dark side, I have been more excited than anything on the history of earth to get my body in some purpley shades. And this is precisely what I did, in the form of a nice pair of jeans.

DSCN2986Burgundy jeans c/o F&F, Leather look tshirt c/o F&F, Heeled ankle boots c/o F&F, Gold chain Primark.

I paired these badboys with a pair of heeled ankle boots, a leather look tee and a chunky gold chain (some call me Lauren two chains). I love these jeans with a fiery passion, they’re a teeny bit baggy on me but I’m in that annoying in-between stage when it comes to clothing sizes – a size 12 is a bit big but a size 10 is a bit small. But at least this way, I can eat around 10 pies and not have to worry about my trousers having to be surgically removed from my legs.

DSCN2993-1024x768

I have a big love for this top too. I’ve been keen to get some leather into my wardrobe but I’m still a bit on the sketchy side when it comes to PVC. This is a fab alternative, it incorporates everything I love in life – animal print, sleeves and leather. It’s actually long enough to wear with leggings too, so we can all get together and shout huzzah for merry England.

DSCN2990-1024x768As a girl who occasionally gets in rages, I like having shoes that I can stomp around in. These areĀ perfect for stomping and make me look just that little bit taller, which is something that I desperately need in my permanent stage of midget. The gold accents make me feels mega fancy and these bad boys have genuinely become a staple in my daywear wardrobe. I plan to wear them everyday for the rest of my life (exaggerating…NEIN!).

Well guys, gals and any woodland bears that may be reading, what do you think?

17 Wow! Skin Highligher & Flawless Poreless Primer | Review

17 4I have to admit, Seventeen has always been one of those brands that I just breeze past when I’m in Boots and never really bother considering buying from. It’s not a snobbery thang; it’s no secret that I’m more than happy to try the cheaper makeup brands and have plenty of Collection and MUA in my makeup bag. Rather, I just always assumed that Seventeen was just as the name suggests – a very young brand, on par with Miss Sporty in the sense that they cater to that ‘first makeup’ market.

However, when I saw Seventeen’s new releases I realised I might have been a bit quick to judge all these years, as they looked very interesting indeed. I popped into Boots at the weekend and lo and behold, they had a Buy One Get One Half Price offer on, so of COURSE both of these ended up coming along to the till with me. Sigh.

Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer

17 1Up until recenty, my pores never really had much impact on my life. About six months ago, in our pre-beauty blogging days, Lauren complained to me about her large pores and I remember literally thinking ‘what are you on about you idiot, nobody cares about their pores’. For me, legitimate skin complaints included spots, blemishes, dark circles, dry skin, oily skin, flaky skin and scabby skin – people who actually thought about their pores were clearly people with too much time on their hands.

And then, I suppose I got too much time on my hands.

I suddenly one day became aware of my pores. I noticed they were definitely there, and more problematically, they were bloody massive. They were all I could see when I looked in the mirror and I genuinely wondered whether when people looked at me their eyes were just about to travel down a fraction and settle on my large pores.

So when I saw this Flawless Poreless Primer, I knew I immediately had to try it. I’ve only ever really usedĀ glorified moisturisersĀ liquid primers before, so at first I was a bit bamboozled by this balm-like product. Also as I initially swiped my fingers across it and could feel and see absolutely nothing on my finger tips, I began to think I’d royally been had. Then I actually applied the primer to my skin, and most important around my nose a.k.a. Pore City (a.k.a. Pore-tsmouth if I’m feeling particularly humorous), and I was FLABBERGASTED. It just smoothed right over them, like Pollyfiller for the face. I’ve heard people use the word ‘airbrushed’ to describe their skin after some primers and foundations and thought they were being dramatic, but that’s honestly how that particular area looked after using this.

I know the lighting etc is completely different on the following photos, but hopefully they’ll still give you an idea of how visible my pores were without the primer, versus their invisibility cloak with the primer:

17 Prime CollageI am genuinely ridiculously impressed with Flawless Poreless for its ability at hiding my pores, but how is it for actually making my makeup last? Well… also ridiculously good if I’m honest. I don’t think I realised but I must be quite used to my foundation casually slipping off my face over the course of the day, as usually by the time I go to the gym after work I look a lot more bare-faced. This week though, I’ve been heading to the gym with what looks like a full face of makeup (which everyone knows is the ultimate gym faux pas; it’s been an embarrassing time, I assure you).

This is sold for Ā£5.99 in Boots and is honestly worth every penny. Seventeen, I am sorry I judged you.

Seventeen Wow! Skin Highlighter

17 Wow 1The second product that caught my eye was this 3-way highlighter. As you may know, I’m very new to the highlighting game and was left somewhat unimpressed with my Bare Minerals ‘Radiance’ highlighter. When I heard this Seventeen product praised as a Benefit High Beam dupe then, I was feverish with excitement. It’s called a 3 way highlighter as, who’d have thunk it, it can apparently be used three ways – either underneath foundation as a primer, mixed in with foundation as some sort of all-over dewy base creator, or applied to cheekbones and all those other pointy bits you’re meant to put highlighter on (as I said, I’m new to this).

On day 1 I mixed it with my foundation. I wasn’t a huge fan of this look as it seemed primarily to thin out my foundation, leaving a much sheerer coverage. It also left me a bit glowy, but not really in an ‘ah, I’m an angel!’ way, but rather a ‘I’ve just had to walk pretty briskly to catch my bus’ way. HOWEVER, I do think that there are some days when this effect will be much more appropriate – I don’t mean to be a complete yob, but I’m mainly thinking those hangover days when your skin looks all pallid and you need to be perked up.

17 Wow 2

17 Wow CollageNext I used it just to highlight. It has a really lovely, pearly sheen to it that thankfully isn’t at all glittery (pet peeve). As you can see, when blended out it goes really sheer and is maybe not noticeable enough, so it’s a good idea not to try to blend it in too much and instead just stipple it on lightly.

At 30ml it’s not the biggest bottle, and depending on how you use it it might not last you that long.Ā Again though, at Ā£5.99 I would say it’s worth the money considering how expensive other brands can be (yeah Bare Minerals, I’m looking at you).

Have any of you tried these products? What did you think?

A Week in Instagram #3.

‘Sup sexy ladies!

Claire and I have lead very boring lives in the past week or two (particularly as I have been lame and ill SNORE) as we’re still saving our pennies for our beautiful new crib. Nevertheless, we have been doing lots of eating and reviewing of fun things, so life hasn’t been too pathetic! If you’re keen to see what we have been up to in beautifully filtered picture form, then BY GUM you have certainly come to the right place chicas!

week1

week2 week3 week4 week5

  1. This was the start of the dreaded flu and of course, the only way to feel better is to eat ice cream and stock up on the vits. Because cookie dough is known to have many vitamins, fact.
  2. Claire was giving a bright pink Barry M lipstick a whirl, doesn’t her pie hole look delightful?
  3. Claire’s beautiful OOTD (which you can read in full right here) and her amazing quilted leather skirt from Primark. I am quite upset that she has it because I now want it. Biatch.
  4. More food in our lives, this time in the form of meeting snacks. Because a meeting of 6 people warrants this level of sugar.
  5. Meet Claire’s eyebrows, they have been lightened and looking WUVVERLY. Read her post about eyebrow lightening here.
  6. Me and my favourite Jamaican man tshirt, which I pretty much wore for the 4 days that I was ill.
  7. As most of you know, Claire’s a big fan (as am I) of putting other people’s hair on her head – she’s getting her weave redone this week and purchased some new extensions in silver to match her new ‘do.
  8. One of the guys in the office is called Kevin and he made us a cake. He is now called Kevin Bakin.
  9. Claire being both fit and funny, gymming it in her ‘You Can’t Sit With Us’ tshirt (which is from eBay if you’re a keen bean).
  10. My new stiletto nails, which I also got from eBay. They take quite a lot of trimming and filing BUT I LOVE THEM. Unfortunately I can’t do anything with them and am a genuinely useless human being at the moment. I couldn’t even open my soup today.
