Outfit of the Day: Topshop Gingham Treggings

OOTD Topshop Gingham TreggingTop: Topshop / Treggings: Topshop / Boots: New Look / Hat: H&M / Bag: Primark / Watch: Casio (available via ASOS)

First of all – EWW could my extensions be looking any rattier? Thank the sweet baby Jesus and all of the animals in the manger that Dirty Looks have sent us new extensions to try out (review coming soon!) so hopefully this rattiness can be put to an end.

Secondly – oops, I went to Topshop! I’d had my eye on this pair of checked leggings for the last couple of weeks, but after trying on a few options in the shop I found this pair of treggings to be more flattering due to the thicker material. Also, HELLO, but gingham is so the new tartan anyway. Hair flick.

OOTD Topshop Treggings and Berlin TeeI also picked up this burnout effect ‘Berlin’ slogan t-shirt. I’m always a bit iffy when it comes to t-shirts; I hate when they have a proper Fruit of the Loom kind of neck on them as I feel like I’m being strangled by my own clothes – but there was something about this loose fitting one that I liked. Also as far as slogan tees go, ‘Berlin’ is pretty non-offensive, and I don’t feel like too much of a fraud because I have in fact been there (lovely place, lots of tall people and sausages).

What do you all think of this outfit? Have you seen anything you like in Topshop lately?

Outfit of the Day: Rare London Shift Dress

Rare London Dress

Hey ladies,

Anyone who knows me at all will know that I love a white dress. In fact, there was a time in my life when that was pretty much all I wore. If it wasn’t a white dress, it was a white sheer shirt (saucy). It may be because I secretly thought I was an angel, I’m not really 100% sure.

The wonderful people at Rare London thankfully indulged my angelic idiotic tendencies and sent me a beautiful shift dress for me to pop on my body and loon around. I absolutely love it with a fiery passion and I literally cannot take it off at the moment (I’ve worn it to work twice, help). For those who haven’t shopped at Rare London yet, get a  grip and head over there right now. They have some absolutely fabulous party dresses and I’m seriously considering getting a really fancy one just to wear around the house. If you can’t hoover in an evening gown, I don’t want to live in this world anymore.

I paired this lovely shift dress with my Primark boots and a necklace I fashioned from things I found in my “e’rrrything box”.On my falsies I have my favourite white nail varnish by Seventeen and on my lips I have the forever raved about Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm crayon in Standout (read our review here, you scoundrels). When I went out of the house, I donned my Miss Selfridge leather jacket and my new bargain Primark bag. HUZZAH.

What do y’all think?

Outfit of the Day: Winter Bare Legs

OOTD 19th Feb Collage 1Hat: eBay / Jumper: Primark / Skirt: eBay (old but similar here) / Boots: eBay

Hi everyone – you can’t see but I’m waving at you all vigorously, I hope you appreciate it.

So, ever since my recent post where I expressed loads of love for Nina Nesbitt’s style, I’ve been thinking I need to start being a bit braver when it comes to getting my stumpy little legs out. I thought this outfit was one of the best ways to do it, as people will be so distracted by the massive hat and jazzy jumper that they won’t have time to think ‘er I wonder if her legs are a bit chilly..?’

OOTD 19th Feb COllage 2Nails: Barry M Watermelon / Rings: Primark and eBay (mix) / Tights: ℅ Charnos

And if you were wondering whether they’re chilly then the answer is NO, IDIOTS. The lovely people at Charnos Hosiery were nice enough to send us over a couple of pairs of their tights to try out. While I don’t usually agree with flesh coloured tights, I have to say that they actually make hella loads of sense for wintery days when you don’t want to ruin a whole outfit by wearing black tights.

These ones happen to be from the Firm Energising Support range, which are designed to help shape and tone tired leglets (they’ve even been treated with nutrients like Vitamin E and Shea Butter, ooh fancy). A pleasant side effect of these is that they’re also nice and thick, keeping any wintery chills at bay!

What do you all think of this outfit? Do you brave getting your bare legs out in winter?

Outfit of the Day: Missguided Playsuit & Cream Heels

Missguided Playsuit

Collage 4309

Hi everyone, Frodo here.

After Claire’s post yesterday about ‘How To Dress Like Nina Nesbitt‘, I’ve basically come to the conclusion that I have the shortest legs ever and should go and live in a tiny leg home. Sob. People keep telling me that being short is great, but the only good thing that I have experienced so far is that you can quite easily dress like a hobbit for Halloween.

Anywho, last weekend me and my dear chum Claire went to visit our tip top pal Alex in Cambridge, and we had an exciting night of cocktails and lurching around the dancefloor. I purchased this pretty little Missguided playsuit especially for the occasion, and I’m happy to say that it was a bargain and I love it.

I paired it with my trusty Forever 21 cream heels and my equally as trusty New Look leopard print envelope bag. HUZZAH.

What do you think of this one gals? If you’re keen to get your hands on a playsuit just like this one, you can find them over here. It was a measly £19.99 and comes in an excellent array of colours, so it would be rude not to really! It doesn’t look like they do the navy one anymore, but the cobalt blue is just as great.

Outfit of the Day: Motel Rocks & Kurt Geiger

OOTD 11th Feb CollagePlaysuit: Motel Rocks / Heels: Kurt Geiger / Bag: Primark / Necklace: Primark

Greetings one and all. At the weekend Lauren and I finally got off our butts (or ‘botties’ as Lauren would say – vom) and went to finally visit one of our best friends from uni who lives in the lovely ole’ town of St Ives, Cambridge. We headed out into Cambridge for many a Long Island Ice Tea, and this is what I put on my body to do so.

I loved this Motel playsuit, but unfortunately it was a little big for me so looking back I’m not that sure about it. One thing I’m always sure about though is the beauty of my Kurt Geiger heels, which were actually a Christmas present a couple of years ago from an ex boyfriend (the shoes outlived the romance, alas). The platform makes me almost average height in them (success) and I love love LOVE the Dalmatian print as it’s a bit different from the usual leopard – plus it allows me to stomp around feeling like Cruella DeVille.

What do you all think?

Outfit of the Day: Karma Shift Dress

OOTD 7th F Collage 2
Dress: c/o Karma Clothing / Bag: Forever 21 / Shoes: eBay

Firstly, my apologies for the lighting in these photos – the sunlight abandoned me a few minutes too early while I was trying to snap these. Secondly and more importantly, a huge thank you to Karma Clothing for sending us this beaut little dress!

I’d been tempted by quite a few thing from Karma before but am always a bit weary about ordering from online stores for the first time, just because sizing can be so difficult to judge (unless you have something as sophisticated as, I don’t know, a tape measure – but who has that sort of newfangled technology at their fingertips?) However I ordered this in a Small and I would say it would happily fit most people between the UK 6-10 range – even midgets like moi.

To be honest, I was spoiled for choice on the Karma website. They have so many lovely dresses in particular in at the moment, and the prices are right up my street (Cheap Street, FYI). I eventually settled on this dress though; the shift/tunic style is set to remain big news as we head into S/S 14 and I thought the coral would be perfect in the warmer months as well as adding a bit of cheer to the dreary days right now.  The baroque print is also a nice detail touch, and it’s definitely good for me to move away from my beloved florals for at least one day.

With super quick delivery on top of this amazing dress, I would fully recommend Karma Clothing to y’all and can’t wait to make a few cheeky purchases myself come payday!

Have any of you ordered from Karma yet? What would you buy?

Outfit of the Day: Primark Tshirt Dress & Ginger Locks

Primark Mesh Panel Tshirt | Primark Necklace | New Look Turquoise Heels (old) | Barry M Nail Varnish in Lady | Kate Moss for Rimmel Shade 16

Hey chicks.

This is a super quick post before I hop in the shower to get ready for a night of wild partying. My home gals (and guy) are coming to visit me all the way from Cheshire, so a bitch has gotta look fine.

I bought this Primark tshirt last weekend and couldn’t resist the jazzy print. It was £8, which quite frankly was a bargain (when isn’t Primark stuff? This is why I spend an unhealthy amount of time in the place). It features some saucy mesh panels, which I actually forgot about when I wore it to work (I’m pretty sure the lads in the office couldn’t concentrate because of the amount of belly button on show). This bad boy that is on my body above is a size 12, so you can see it’s quite a baggy fit. It’s also quite long, which apparently meant that I thought it would be ok to wear as a dress. I may have got a few “why is that chump not wearing trousers?” looks, but you know. What’s life if not about not wearing trousers?

I also have dyed my hair ginger now. I’m trying to persuade Claire to dye her hair black and chop it into an endearingly messy crop so she can be the Harry to my Ron, but she’s not biting. Yet.

Anywho, have a great Saturday you wonderful humans.

BYE.

Outfit of the Day: Motel Cropped Alphabet Jumper

OOTD 27th Jan Collage 1Jumper: Motel Rocks / Jeggings: Topshop / Boots: Boohoo / Chain: eBay / Satchel: Primark

First of all, I’m so sorry for the amount of belly button there is in this post. At least I’ve got an innie, hey?

Moving on…

I’m in love with my new cropped jumper from Motel, which I actually managed to acquire from eBay for the magical price of 99p  NEW WITHOUT TAGS. Which might be code for “I’ve actually worn this a few times but I’m a sneaky snake and will pretend I haven’t”, but I don’t really care to be quite honest. 99p!

OOTD 27th Jan Collage 2

I’m also in sartorial love with my new satchel from Primark, which I’ve had my beady eyes on for a while. White might not be the most practical choice but I think it’ll be especially nice during summer to freshen up an outfit.

What do y’all think?

Outfit of the Day: We Love Fashion Competition with NOWSEEN.

OOTD

Hi you beautiful people,

Well, apparently yesterday was Blue Monday and we’re all supposed to be sobbing into our cups of tea this week. HOWEVER. Claire and I are feeling positive and can’t think of anything to be sad about, especially since we found out about this excellent competition in association with NOWSEEN. For those of you who don’t know, NOWSEEN are a jewellery brand that specialise in super awesome pieces with genuine gems and proper metal (cya later Primark green fingers). And they’re also hosting a competition for London Fashion Week, where one lucky winner (and a great mate. I might pick Claire) can win Luxe tickets to Fashion Weekend as well as £100 each worth of NOWSEEN jewellery. PARDON ME AND ZUT ALORS. Bop me on the head and call me Sally.

To win, you have to post an OOTD picture of what you would wear to London Fashion week, write a blog post about it and email your entry to the excellent competition people. We obviously couldn’t say no to such a fabulous competition, so here are our entries. To win, there’s a magical voting system and the OOTD with the most votes wins.

WLF Collage 1Bardot Body: Missguided / Leather Look Leggings: River Island (old) / Fur Collar: New Look

I decided to keep things pretty casual for my LFW outfit; I know some people go uber-glam for the week, but imagine tripping over in seven inch heels and ending up sprawled in a heap at Anna Wintour’s feet. That would not be faaaahbulous. I teamed my trusty leather leggings with my new body from Missguided  and accessorised with some fur (it’s chilly down in London), my beautiful Marc B bag and my new babies: the Boohoo boots.

WLF Collage 2Bag: Marc B ‘Giselle’ / Boots: Boohoo

I’m not usually one to co-ordinate shoes and bags, but I think in this case it pulls the outfit together. If you can’t be a bit matchy-matchy at LFW, then when the hell can you?

4Dress: Your Eyes Lie | Beanie: House of Hoxhore | Shoes: Converse | Necklace: Primark

I featured this OOTD in a blog post a while back (if you want to check it out, I don’t know why you would, but you can have a look here) but the most excellent and wonderful thing with this competition is that you don’t have to put a new outfit to enter. I did actually take some pics for the entry but I looked horrible and squiffy eyed, so I thought that I would feature an old outfit. My dress is from a boutique on ASOS called Your Eyes Lie and my beanie is from House of Hoxshore. I probably wouldn’t wear connies to LFW (imagine if I bumped into Kate Moss, she’d probably biff me), so I’d change those battered bad boys to a pair of chunky heeled boots. Huzzah.

If any of you stunners fancy entering, check out the We Love Fashion site where there’s an entry form. If you want to vote for either of our outfits, there’s a vote section on there too.

Good luck to us. Our fingers, toes and eyes are crossed.

Outfit of the Day: H&M Crop Top & Split Maxi Skirt

HI GUYS.

It’s Friday afternoon, I’m buzzing for the weekend and nothing can bring me down…apart from the fact I look like an absolute lunatic in these photos pahaha. But ya know, sometimes your face doesn’t behave and your hair looks rubbish. It’s just something that we all have to deal with together, no dramz.

Anywho, this is an outfit I’ve actually worn about a million times in the past few weeks. I bought the top just before Christmas for a night out with my chums back in Cheshire (where we went cow tipping and engaged in other country pursuits). It’s not my usual style, but I’ve come to love the almost-stripey pattern, especially since it scanned as ‘Fancy Jersey Top’ at the checkout. Nothing will lure me in more than something that has the word ‘fancy’ in it. As you may have guessed, this bad boy is from H&M and has become quite the staple in my ‘drobe (Claire has introduced me to layering crops over skater dresses for work and it is brilliant).

OOTD COllage One

I paired my crop top with a new-ish maxi skirt, which is incidentally from H&M too. It’s from their basics range and has a delightful split to the knee – not too saucy but saucy enough to say ‘HEY, we’re not Victorian, look at my ankle and shin’. There’s not too much to say about it other than that, apart from the fact that it is black and is a skirt. Huzzah.

OOTD COLLAGE 2

After slinging on my Primark triangle necklace (which I’ve featured on our Instagram account quite a lot.) and my new Primark boots, I was ready to clomp around like a manic with wonky head.

I’m SUPER not happy with my nail varnish though, which is a Kelly Brook ‘matte effect’ one. It’s bloody useless and is no more matte than my shiny nose is right now. It’s more of a textured effect (with what appears to be bits of sand in it) and basically makes it look like a mollusc has done your nails. Thankfully, I didn’t actually buy this (I, erm, found it lurking around my fella’s flat so tactfully robbed it) but be warned – Kelly Brook cannot make nail varnish, no matter who tells you she can.

For anyone who is interested, my lipstick is Kate Moss for Rimmel in shade 16. It’s rather good and has brilliant pigmentation.

What do you all think about this little outfit?
