Outfit of the Day: Missguided Dogtooth Print Mini Dress

Missguided Dogtooth Mini Dress

Hey homies,

As Claire is on holiday and I am tragically sitting at home and basically roasting in my room right now, I thought I’d take a couple of outfit snaps. I don’t know about all of you other grafters who do 9-5, but these last few weeks have been torture sitting at a desk crying about how hot it is and how there is no cider policy at work (e.g. cider is compulsory when it gets to 20+ degrees).

Thankfully, we can wear what we like to work so I have been whipping out my pasty white legs in the hope that I kill off my colleagues with moon blindness and I can go home. No luck so far.

Anywho, I bought this Missguided dress last week because I was off to a wedding at the weekend – I was meeting my boyfriends work pals for the first time, so I didn’t want to look like a massive tramp. This dress was my Friday outfit, as we were there from Friday – Sunday and I had to pretend not to be a tramp for THREE WHOLE DAYS. I wuv it, pastels are my fave and its surprisingly flattering even though its relatively bodycon. I can’t seem to find it onsite anymore though, which is odd.

Collage 2

I wore it with a fedora, which I robbed from Claire ages ago and haven’t had the heart to give it back to her. Pale girls need hats, because we unfortunately get burnt noses and accidentally look like Rudolph in July.

I popped on my big, round New Look sunnies to shade my eyeballs from the sun and a gold chain because gold chains make me happy.

SHOESShoes-wise I have this pair of heeled trainer-y type fandangoes on my feet. I got them in Birmingham at a shop that none of you will have heard of, but you can find similar on Asos here.

I must be off to go and try and not melt.

Goodbye.

Outfit of the Day: Primark Tropical Jumpsuit

Primark Tropical Jumpsuit | Topshop La Vie Boheme Crop Top | New Look Platform Sandals | Clairol Nice ‘N Easy Perfect 10 – Dark Brown

Ahoy hoy

If you’re slightly confused about who on earth this black haired lunatic is, it is me. I had a bit of a moment yesterday at work where I decided my ginger hair was rubbish and I was ready to commit, so I swiftly popped down to Mozzas and got some hair dye. This was the result, and I am pretty happy with it! I do like having dark hair, because it makes me feel mysterious and cool. While I might look like a freckled gypsy in reality, at least I feel relevant to the world.

If anyone is vaguely interested, I used Clairol’s Nice ‘n Easy Perfect 10 dye in dark brown. They did not lie when they said it was nice and easy, it literally took no time whatsoever and I was able to dye my hair extensions too in less than an hour. AMAZING isn’t the word.

Anywho, I thought I would share with you what I have on today (ooo-er) because that’s just what us bloggers like to do. I bought this Primark tropical jumpsuit for Wireless last sunday, and I absolutely love it. It’s super comfy with an excellent tropical print and I generally like it a lot. It cost me £13, so its a total bargain too. I’m a big fan of layering under jumpsuits at the moment, so I popped my trusty Topshop crop underneath, and my equally trusty New Look caged platforms which seem to be glued to my feet. Hehe.

What do you think of Primark’s jumpsuit offerings?

Outfit of the Day: Dorothy Perkins Midi Skirt & Topshop Crop Top

Waddup you marvellous people.

I hope that you are all well and enjoying the fact that we only have one more day until the weekend, and I don’t know about you, but I plan to drink cocktails and probably lurk in bed for 24+ hours.

Yesterday was probably the most exciting day that Claire and I really care about. Birthdays? Get gone. Christmas? WHO THE HELL CARES. But payday…come to me my sweet, sweet love. You are beautiful in every way.

Which is why we made our obligatory trip to the retail park near to our work to stock up on a few bits and bobs that we simply couldn’t afford in the dark days before we were paid. While we said we were just going to pick up some cream for my scabby eczema, we ended up buying a load of other nonsense. It is the way of life.

Amongst the nonsense things that I bought, I also picked up this lovely little midi skirt from Dorothy Perkins. Now, I wouldn’t say that I am a regular shopper in Dotty P’s, but I do have to say that their sale was excellent when we popped in.This paisley print midi skirt was a mere £10, marked down from £20 (I think I probably would have bought it full price even if it hadn’t been in the sale!). You can find it online here, but it seems to be £5 more expensive than when I bought it in the shop. I thoroughly recommend that you have a nosey online though, they have LOADS of lovely midi skirts.

I paired it with my new Topshop ‘La Vie Boheme’ crop top, which I actually listed on my most recent spring/summer wish list. This little bad boy will set you back £10, and I would say that you definitely HAVE to wear a nude or white bra underneath, because it’s super see through.

I popped on my New Look round sunglasses and also wore my New Look white platform sandals on my trotters.

I apologise for the state of my hair, I tried to go for the ‘cool messy look’ (read: woke up late, couldn’t find hair brush) but ended up looking  slightly  like a ginger haired tramp. Whoops.

What do you think of Dorothy Perkins midi skirt offerings?

Outfit of the Day: New Look Kimono & White Platform Sandals

New Look Kimono £19.99 (similar here) | Topshop Acid Wash Jeans (old) | New Look White Chunky Caged Sandals £24.99 | Black Scalloped Vest (old)

Ahoy there maties,

It has bean a while since I’ve done an outfit of the day. This is partly because I have had really scabby skin that has involved me looking like a crocodile for an unusual amount of time in my life. But thankfully, I am slightly less lizardy now and can take photos that don’t involve me looking trollish (…kind of anyway).

I bought this jazzy kimono from New Look before I went away to South Africa. I absolutely love it, from the floral print to the tassels at the bottom. Being a short girl, it’s quite long on me but I actually really like that as well. My only real beef with this kimono is that the tassels keep unravelling. I’m not sure if this is just an unfortunate side effect, or because I stuffed it in the washing machine without a second thought, but it means I keep trailing bits of thread everywhere. Nevertheless, this isn’t enough to put me off in the slightest.

I wore my New Look kimono with my standard Topshop acid wash jeans, a super old Topshop scalloped vest and my New Look white platforms. All in all, I’m pretty pleased with this outfit and I’m enjoying wearing it right now (now you know what I’m wearing, you perverts).

I also have on my tip top fave lip product at the moment, Revlon’s Colourburt Matte Balm in Sultry. Can I get a ‘yes, I agree, these are heaven sent’?

So, what do you think? Get involved in the comments below, you scoundrels.

Outfit of the Day: Primark Pink & Gingham

OOTD 14th April Collage 1Today’s outfit, aside from the necklace, all comes from good ole’ Primark. Can I get a whoop whoop? Actually I’d rather you didn’t. But still, impressive nah?!

OOTD 14th April Collage 2These leggings may remind you of a certain pair of Topshop treggings I sported in this recent OOTD post. I loved those treggings, you loved those treggings… unfortunately as you can see in that post they were pretty long on me and as such I struggled to wear them with certain things. I eventually, woefully, with tears streaming down my face (on the inside anyway) returned them to Toppers and had missed them bitterly since. Which was why I was DELIGHTED to spot this lookalike pair in Primark at the weekend – for a mere £5! I think they’re technically a kind of capri pant/pedal pusher (there’s a phrase I hoped to never say again) as they looked mighty short on the hanger, but on my 5’2 legs they sit at the perfect ankle basher length I’d roll them to anyway.

The jumper was only £6 and is the perfect transitional piece being nice and thin, while my be loved ugly shoes were only £14. Oh and the necklace  was £2 in the New Look sale, making this potentially the most bargains outfit ever at £27 for the whole damn thang. More money for tequila!

Outfit of the Day: Missguided Bardot & H&M Maxi Skirt

Evening Wearaccessories Good day to you fine fellows.

I recently went to an exciting black tie event, which was even more exciting because it was a boxing event and I got to see grown men biff each other.

Unfortunately, I was in the throes of poverty at the time. In fact, I’m sure we’ve all been there – that horrible place that involves choosing between food and new clothes. Usually, new clothes would win hands down for me, but in this scenario I was forced to forgo clothes in favour of a few munchies (hunger pangs and all). Because I couldn’t buy anything new, I went for a classic combo of a top and a skirt.

I’ve had this Missguided Bardot body for a while and I can definitely say that it is an absolute staple in my little wardrobe. It’s a useful one if you just want to dress up an outfit a little bit, or if your shoulders are feeling particularly hot on occasion.

I’ve also had this H&M Maxi Skirt for eons, but it’s another brilliant one. The slit up the side makes you think ‘ooo-er aren’t I a saucy madam’ and it’s pretty useful for both daywear and night time clothes fandangos.

Put them together and you get a pretty alright outfit. That Necklace is actually from Primark and I absolutely love it. It’s such a statement piece and for £5, you really can’t go wrong. It’s surprisingly well made too, and I can see it lasting for quite a while!

What do you think of this outfit? THOUGHTS?

Outfit of the Day: Rare London Shift Dress

Rare London Dress

Hey ladies,

Anyone who knows me at all will know that I love a white dress. In fact, there was a time in my life when that was pretty much all I wore. If it wasn’t a white dress, it was a white sheer shirt (saucy). It may be because I secretly thought I was an angel, I’m not really 100% sure.

The wonderful people at Rare London thankfully indulged my angelic idiotic tendencies and sent me a beautiful shift dress for me to pop on my body and loon around. I absolutely love it with a fiery passion and I literally cannot take it off at the moment (I’ve worn it to work twice, help). For those who haven’t shopped at Rare London yet, get a  grip and head over there right now. They have some absolutely fabulous party dresses and I’m seriously considering getting a really fancy one just to wear around the house. If you can’t hoover in an evening gown, I don’t want to live in this world anymore.

I paired this lovely shift dress with my Primark boots and a necklace I fashioned from things I found in my “e’rrrything box”.On my falsies I have my favourite white nail varnish by Seventeen and on my lips I have the forever raved about Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm crayon in Standout (read our review here, you scoundrels). When I went out of the house, I donned my Miss Selfridge leather jacket and my new bargain Primark bag. HUZZAH.

What do y’all think?

Outfit of the Day: Missguided Playsuit & Cream Heels

Missguided Playsuit

Collage 4309

Hi everyone, Frodo here.

After Claire’s post yesterday about ‘How To Dress Like Nina Nesbitt‘, I’ve basically come to the conclusion that I have the shortest legs ever and should go and live in a tiny leg home. Sob. People keep telling me that being short is great, but the only good thing that I have experienced so far is that you can quite easily dress like a hobbit for Halloween.

Anywho, last weekend me and my dear chum Claire went to visit our tip top pal Alex in Cambridge, and we had an exciting night of cocktails and lurching around the dancefloor. I purchased this pretty little Missguided playsuit especially for the occasion, and I’m happy to say that it was a bargain and I love it.

I paired it with my trusty Forever 21 cream heels and my equally as trusty New Look leopard print envelope bag. HUZZAH.

What do you think of this one gals? If you’re keen to get your hands on a playsuit just like this one, you can find them over here. It was a measly £19.99 and comes in an excellent array of colours, so it would be rude not to really! It doesn’t look like they do the navy one anymore, but the cobalt blue is just as great.

Outfit of the Day: Primark Tshirt Dress & Ginger Locks

COLLAGE

COLLAGE 2

Primark Mesh Panel Tshirt | Primark Necklace | New Look Turquoise Heels (old) | Barry M Nail Varnish in Lady | Kate Moss for Rimmel Shade 16

Hey chicks.

This is a super quick post before I hop in the shower to get ready for a night of wild partying. My home gals (and guy) are coming to visit me all the way from Cheshire, so a bitch has gotta look fine.

I bought this Primark tshirt last weekend and couldn’t resist the jazzy print. It was £8, which quite frankly was a bargain (when isn’t Primark stuff? This is why I spend an unhealthy amount of time in the place). It features some saucy mesh panels, which I actually forgot about when I wore it to work (I’m pretty sure the lads in the office couldn’t concentrate because of the amount of belly button on show). This bad boy that is on my body above is a size 12, so you can see it’s quite a baggy fit. It’s also quite long, which apparently meant that I thought it would be ok to wear as a dress. I may have got a few “why is that chump not wearing trousers?” looks, but you know. What’s life if not about not wearing trousers?

I also have dyed my hair ginger now. I’m trying to persuade Claire to dye her hair black and chop it into an endearingly messy crop so she can be the Harry to my Ron, but she’s not biting. Yet.

Anywho, have a great Saturday you wonderful humans.

BYE.

Outfit of the Day: We Love Fashion Competition with NOWSEEN.

OOTD

Hi you beautiful people,

Well, apparently yesterday was Blue Monday and we’re all supposed to be sobbing into our cups of tea this week. HOWEVER. Claire and I are feeling positive and can’t think of anything to be sad about, especially since we found out about this excellent competition in association with NOWSEEN. For those of you who don’t know, NOWSEEN are a jewellery brand that specialise in super awesome pieces with genuine gems and proper metal (cya later Primark green fingers). And they’re also hosting a competition for London Fashion Week, where one lucky winner (and a great mate. I might pick Claire) can win Luxe tickets to Fashion Weekend as well as £100 each worth of NOWSEEN jewellery. PARDON ME AND ZUT ALORS. Bop me on the head and call me Sally.

To win, you have to post an OOTD picture of what you would wear to London Fashion week, write a blog post about it and email your entry to the excellent competition people. We obviously couldn’t say no to such a fabulous competition, so here are our entries. To win, there’s a magical voting system and the OOTD with the most votes wins.

WLF Collage 1Bardot Body: Missguided / Leather Look Leggings: River Island (old) / Fur Collar: New Look

I decided to keep things pretty casual for my LFW outfit; I know some people go uber-glam for the week, but imagine tripping over in seven inch heels and ending up sprawled in a heap at Anna Wintour’s feet. That would not be faaaahbulous. I teamed my trusty leather leggings with my new body from Missguided  and accessorised with some fur (it’s chilly down in London), my beautiful Marc B bag and my new babies: the Boohoo boots.

WLF Collage 2Bag: Marc B ‘Giselle’ / Boots: Boohoo

I’m not usually one to co-ordinate shoes and bags, but I think in this case it pulls the outfit together. If you can’t be a bit matchy-matchy at LFW, then when the hell can you?

4Dress: Your Eyes Lie | Beanie: House of Hoxhore | Shoes: Converse | Necklace: Primark

I featured this OOTD in a blog post a while back (if you want to check it out, I don’t know why you would, but you can have a look here) but the most excellent and wonderful thing with this competition is that you don’t have to put a new outfit to enter. I did actually take some pics for the entry but I looked horrible and squiffy eyed, so I thought that I would feature an old outfit. My dress is from a boutique on ASOS called Your Eyes Lie and my beanie is from House of Hoxshore. I probably wouldn’t wear connies to LFW (imagine if I bumped into Kate Moss, she’d probably biff me), so I’d change those battered bad boys to a pair of chunky heeled boots. Huzzah.

If any of you stunners fancy entering, check out the We Love Fashion site where there’s an entry form. If you want to vote for either of our outfits, there’s a vote section on there too.

Good luck to us. Our fingers, toes and eyes are crossed.
