Howdy y’aaaall! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter then you might know that I’m currently on holiday in Florida (bit of an upgrade from Costa del Cov, obv), but I thought I’d write a quick post about a product that I was loving the month before I came away. I was looking for something to help me drop a few pounds and feel a bit healthier, so when I was offered the chance to try a 30 day detox from Teami Blends, I obviously said yes. I’m a big fan of detox teas and am always happy to try out new ones, so I was really looking forward to giving it a go.
For a bit of background, Teami Blends is a company originally based – very aptly for me right now – in Florida, but they have recently launched in the UK. They sell a range of healthy teas, in both loose leaf and teabag versions, which can help with things such as weight loss, sleep, nutrition, energy and colon cleansing. I was sent the Teami Teatox 30 Days Pack*, which includes a 30 day supply of the Teami Skinny loose leaf tea, and a 15 day supply of the Teami Colon cleanse tea bags. As with some other tea detoxes I’ve tried out, you have a cup of the Skinny tea each morning for 30 days, and a cup of the Colon tea every other night before bed.
The Skinny tea is a blend of all-natural ingredients which, unlike other detox teas, isn’t designed to act as a laxative (that’s where the Colon tea comes in, but more on that in a mo). It’s a loose leaf tea, which I hadn’t actually tried before but was really easy to brew. The tiny dried leaves expand as it brews, and you can then use a strainer so you don’t get a face full of leaf when you try drinking it. In terms of taste, the Skinny tea is very similar to other green teas, which I drink a lot of anyway. It advises that you can add honey or lemon to change the taste if you want to, but I like it as it is (yeah, I’m really boring like that). I found the Skinny tea really pleasant to use, and although I can’t prove it was directly related to the tea, I found myself feeling less bloated as I went through the detox.
The Colon tea is designed to cleanse the body of toxins that build up over time and that apparently prevent the body from absorbing nutrients properly. It does this, as you’d expect, by flushing all the toxins out. Yeah, that way. Because it’s a stronger blend, you only have this tea every other night. In the morning following my first night of trying this, I actually woke up really early with quite bad stomach cramps and I wasn’t sure whether I’d carry on with the detox if I felt like that every morning. However, I tried it again 2 days later and the following morning I was absolutely fine. I think this might have just been my body getting used to the, er, flushing aspect of the tea – so it’s worth bearing that in mind if you do have some slight discomfort the first time.
Apart from that, this tea did the job effectively, without getting in the way of my daily activities at all. I’ve tried another detox tea that literally sent me to the loo about 8 times over the day and so did get in the way of working, but the effects of the Colon cleanse were a bit more gentle. It helped me to feel a lot lighter though, and got rid of the bloated, uncomfortable feeling that I usually have by the end of the day.
All in all, I really liked my detox with Teami Blends. The 30 Day Teatox will set you back £39.99 for a month’s supply, which isn’t the cheapest thing out there but I think the results do justify it. Over the course of my 30 days I started to feel much less bloated, a bit slimmer and as an added bonus I felt like my skin also cleared up a lot. If you want to buy any Teami Blends teas for yourself, then I also have a little discount code that you can use. Enter STYLINGO10 at the checkout (throwback to my old blog name for you there) and you’ll get 10% off any of your orders.
Have you tried any of the Teami Blends detox teas, or would you like to? Let me know in the comments!
Ooooh I would LOVE to give these a go. I’ve put on so much weight over the past few months, and I really feel in need of trying something that will help me kick start my way back into getting healthy again. This sounds perfect – I’m definitely going to try it out.

Ooh I’d love to give the Energy one a try too 🙂 xx
Have fun in Florida! Can’t wait to see the posts from there. The fact that it also helped your skin, makes this worthy of testing in my book!
