One thing you might know about me if you’ve ever spent, say, three minutes in my company is my slight obsession with nude lips. A red can sometimes be okay for a night out, and I’ve been known to rock a purple if I’m feeling particularly vampy in the winter, but 99.9% of the time I’ll have some variety of nude lip going on. As such, nude lipliners pay a really important part in my life, so when I discovered these cheerfully cheap and FANTASTIC lip liners from NYX, I was understandably excited.
In fact, ever since NYX came to the UK, it’s safe to say I’ve been pretty obsessed. I actually have enough NYX favourites by now to fill a separate post, but I think the NYX Lip Liner Pencils deserve a special shout-out. Costing just £3 and with 42 shades available on the Boots website, it’s easy to get totally carried away on stock up on all the shades. I was obviously tempted to do this with the nudes, but managed to keep it conservative and just order 4 (yes I’ve already misplaced one so only had 3 for these photos – more reason go stock up on spares, riiiiight?).
I picked the NYX Lip Liner Pencils up in the nude shades of Peekaboo Neautral, Nude Beige and Nude Pink (and Beige, which is the one I’m missing. And god how I do miss it, sob). Yes, they might all sound pretty similar and even look pretty similar, but all other nude lip fanatics will know why I needed them all. When layered underneath a basic nude lipstick such as MAC’s Creme D’Nude, these create three completely different shades, from a cool-toned brown nude to a super girly pink nude and a ‘my lips but better’ nude.
And if you were worried about the quality considering the low price-tag, there’s no need. Of course they’re not quite as creamy as more expensive lip liners (or even the NYX Mechanical Lip Pencils, which I also really like) but they’re not scratchy or uncomfortable. They apply really nicely, and the pencil doesn’t wear down too quickly either. Basically, you just need to pick these up. Immediately. And while you’re at it, send me a replacement Beige please… #SENDNUDES.
Have any of you tried these lip liners, or are there any other brands you love? Let me know in the comments!
Ohhhh despite having loads of NYX lippies I have yet to try their pencils. I shall def be adding to my basket soon

Word on the street is that the Barry M lip liners are almost identical MAC dupes for velvet teddy, myth, whirl and other various wonderful nudey colours! The best shade of the Barry M liners is Toast, I think. Such a convincing match and just a teeny tiny fraction of the cost! I’m planning on venturing out to Superdrug to test them out for myself xxx
OMG I did not know that they were so cheap! I know what I’m buying tomorrow. So much for February’s spending ban haha!

I’ve had the retractable one in a fabulous nude shade but it kept breaking so was going to try their other ones. I’m after the shade Nude Suede Shoes! Xx
